Greed

Looks like the greedy devs killed this game before it could even launch

Beautiful but busy

This game is visually and sonically beautiful, but I'm dumping it because it's just way, way too complicated. It's impossible for me to find my way around in it because there are just too many pathways leading into pathways leading into pathways...and another shortcoming is that there's no character development. I can't exactly put my finger on why, but in, for example, Pixel Saga: Squad RPG (my current favorite game), each champion has a distinct identity in my mind โ€“ I can tell every one from every other one. In this game, I just collect tons of characters and aside from slight differences in their appearance, they're all basically the same to me. This may be largely because there are just so many of them. Landing a high tier character doesn't seem very special because you land a lot of them, and, for me, at least, there's not much to distinguish one from another.

So between these two marks against the game, I'm deleting it from my phone. Kind of a shame, because the artwork and the music are so beautiful, but the sheer complexity of the game/UI in particular is a big turn off for me, so away I goโ€ฆ

Good experience

Poor reward

They cut the campaign reward s to global players and think a one time 70 pull was enough to make up for this a pure scam was a good game up until I found this out

Global Version of Elpis Feels Heavily Nerfed Compared to JP. Unfair Treatment of Global Players

The global version of Elpis: Fallen Star is much less free-to-play friendly than the Japanese version. Rewards in nearly every part of the game have been reduced by about 50%, making progression feel slow and unfair. Examples: Story stage: JP gets 200 gems, Global gets 50 (150 gem difference) Chapter clear: JP gets 500 gems, Global gets 300 Hollow Rift: 120 gems in JP, 60 in Global Daily login: 100 gems in JP, 50 in Global Cumulative daily rewards: halved in Global Abyss Exchange: 3 mats = 120 gems in JP, 60 in Global Abyss gem cap: 12,000 in JP, 6,000 in Global PvP milestone rewards: halved in Global Daily boss clear: 50 gems in JP, 25 in Global PvP weekly rewards: only gem source that remains unchanged Originite (premium currency) is also handled worse in Global: JP gets it from first-time resource stage clears, level-up rewards (2 every few levels), and event shops. Global players get none of these. Beyond rewards, some character rarities were changed in Global without notice: Jessica and Ghostqueen are 4-star in JP, but 5-star in Global. Saico is 3-star in JP, but 4-star in Global. These are strong units, so increasing their rarity makes them harder to get, dupe, and upgrade. Also, JP players receive Ivorywing on day 3 login, while Global gets Ghostqueen, who is a weaker unit. Overall, the Global version feels like a downgraded experience with reduced rewards, hidden changes, and increased pressure to spend money. The publishersโ€™ response to all this was to offer an event granting around 7 standard ten-pulls while refusing to adjust any of the actual reward systems in Global. Basically telling Global players to โ€œshut up.โ€
