Discount bait. Terrible product. No refund.
I paid $168 because of a “limited-time discount.” The problem is that many important features can’t really be tested before paying.
I tried the paid version, realized the same day that it was basically useless for me, and immediately asked for a refund. They refused.
The product itself is also extremely disappointing:
AI conversation and correction are worse than simply using ChatGPT.
Pronunciation scoring is often inaccurate or meaningless.
For pronunciation training, BoldVoice is far better in my experience.
The whole experience felt like: use a big discount to get you to pay first, then make refunds extremely difficult once you discover the product isn’t good.
I later found plenty of other users complaining about inaccurate scoring, subscription/refund issues, bugs, and poor support.
Do not pay for ELSA Speak before you are 100% sure. I regret paying $168.

Defective AI
I specifically paid for this subscription to use the upgraded AI features, but the voice recognition is completely defective and inaccurate. I am extremely frustrated because the AI fails to properly process and understand speech, which defeats the entire purpose of the upgrade.

Me ha gustado mucho esta aplicación porque me permite ver las frases tanto en inglés como en español y repetir la pronunciación de las palabras todas las veces que necesite.
En otras aplicaciones que había usado antes, solo podía escuchar la pronunciación una vez o muy pocas veces, y eso me generaba estrés y hacía que terminara abandonando las clases de inglés.
Con esta aplicación, en cambio, me he sentido mucho más cómoda porque puedo repetir, escuchar y practicar a mi propio ritmo. Para alguien que está empezando a aprender inglés, esta forma de estudiar hace que el proceso sea mucho más agradable y fácil de continuar.

Diseño de aplicacion
La aplicación me parece muy completa y tiene herramientas excelentes para aprender inglés. Sin embargo, siento que el diseño de la interfaz es un poco tedioso y tiene demasiado ruido visual. Hay muchas opciones, secciones y elementos al mismo tiempo, lo que puede hacer que sea difícil saber por dónde empezar y que la experiencia se sienta abrumadora. Me encantaría que consideraran un diseño más simple, limpio e intuitivo para que sea más fácil disfrutar y aprovechar todo lo que ofrece la aplicación. ¡Gracias!

L’application ne me comprend jamais quand je parle . Elle me met souvent des balles perdues. Mais c’est aukeyyyyyy. Pour finir, ma langue maternelle et le français et je me perfectionne en anglais grâce à cette application mais certains cours m’oblige à dire des mots en français avec un accent anglais ( pas ouf ) . Surtout que elle me comprend jamais et qu’elle crois que je me trompe alors que je sais dire les mots, ( juste pas avec l’accent anglais )🥲

The voice recognition is absolutely horrible in the extent that I don’t learn much from pronunciation, especially sentences.
Problem with Full Sentence Recognition

I am interested in your app and decided to purchase the Premium package to learn English with ELSA Speak.
However, I have encountered a problem with the speech recognition system. When I speak to answer a question, the app is unable to recognize and capture the entire sentence.
For example, when I say:
“Hello, this is a microphone test.”
The system only recognizes part of my sentence, such as:
“Hello, this is a…”
It does not recognize the rest of the sentence.
This is the issue I am experiencing. The app’s speech recognition system seems unable to capture the complete sentence when I speak.
Could you please look into this issue and let me know if there is a solution?

amazing app for learning english
I love this app! It has been helping me a lot with my English, especially with pronunciation and speaking. It’s easy to use and makes learning English much more enjoyable. I feel more confident when I practice. Definitely one of the best apps for learning English!
Useless
Absolutely useless app. I can say by myself that my prononciation is bad, without any robot. By no any advices or lessons how to improve it. How to put tongue, what to do by mouth. Nothing.
Grammar lessons are primitive. Especially when you try to ask robot about something detailed about rules or exclusions. It as parrot repeats exercise.
Waste of money, said that Apple policy does not allow returns.

Era buena hasta TAREAS DE HOY
Luego de la inserción del apartado TAREAS DE HOY, la experiencia y recorrido por los menús es engorroso, la experiencia de aprendizaje es decepcionante ya que no reconoce algunas tareas realizadas y esto resta puntuación en tu ruta de aprendizaje desmotivando al usuario. Pero sino te importa la puntuación y solo interactuas con ELSA como pasatiempos es tolerable.
