What a scam, rubbish app
Can learn anything from this app.
Overhyped, buggy, and frustrating
I fell for the heavy marketing, but the actual app is a massive disappointment. The user interface is constantly glitching, and the points calculation system is completely broken as it fails to track progress accurately (submitted a feedback long ago but no response or update). The core product simply doesn't deliver on its promises. I definitely will not be renewing my subscription.

Misleading subscription form
I downloaded your app because I believed I was signing up for a free trial and had no intention of purchasing a subscription. Unfortunately, I was unexpectedly charged for a 3-month plan before I realized what had happened.
As soon as I noticed the charge, I immediately cancelled my subscription to prevent any future billing.
I genuinely feel that the trial and subscription process was misleading, and it resulted in me being charged for a service I never intended to buy.

Outdated
I paid A$148 for Elsa, and it wasn’t worth it. The lessons are monotonous, repetitive, and honestly just boring. The interface feels outdated, and there are far too many unnecessary clicks. Having to press Continue after every single answer is so frustrating. It should just move to the next question automatically. For A$148, I expected a much smoother and more modern learning experience.

This app charged me and once I started using it was charging me again, acting like I never purchased anything.
Poor speech recognition
I wanted to like it but I don’t. It doesn’t help much with pronunciation. It has the worst speech recognition that always mishear you. Role play conversation is pretty boring since their AI would just keep asking you some shallow questions and make the conversation unable to go deeper. The worst of the worst is their speech recognition which is really bad.

I downloaded this app specifically for the AI tutor and speaking practice. Unfortunately, I can’t evaluate the quality of the tutor without purchasing a Premium subscription first. I’m not willing to pay for something I haven’t even had the chance to try once. A short free trial or a few demo conversations would make a huge difference. Since I can’t test the main feature, I’ll be moving on to another app in search of a different AI tutor.

В приложении показываются уроки не под замком. А по факту все они закрыты. Пока не оплатишь, не даст пройти. В итоге, чтобы понять стоит ли платить, на минуту 6000 рублей, вам дают всего один маленький урок на listening. Удаляю. Платить за кота в мешке я не собираюсь.

Terrible experience
I had absolutely no intention of purchasing this service. I downloaded the app on July 1st and signed up for what I understood to be a temporary free trial. However, it deducted the money from my bank account on July 8th for a one-year service package. The moment I noticed the unexpected charge, I immediately canceled the subscription to prevent any future billing. And then I went to Apple online to report this problem and asked for a refund, what I didn’t expect is my request was turned down. And they didn’t give a single clue. I feel like I accidentally fell into a trap that has been elaborately designed by offering you a seven day trial but actually luring you into a long-term bond for purchase and it is a one time charge for a one year service, really feel like a scam.

Don’t recommend
I am a Lifetime License holder, but now half of the learning interfaces require me to pay extra to unlock them. Gating content behind a new tier after selling a "lifetime" deal is highly unethical. On top of that, the recent app updates completely butchered the UI. The interface and content layout changed drastically and became so complicated and hard to use. They ruined a perfectly good app just to push more aggressively for upsells. Do not recommend.

Здравствуйте, разработчики ELSA Speak! Я пользуюсь вашим приложением с весны 2024 года. И как понятно по моему долгому периоду использования этого приложения, вы наверняка поняли, что данное приложение мне очень понравилось.
Но в этом году произошло что-то неприятное. Как только я захожу в ваше приложение и начинаю пользоваться им, то мой айфон очень быстро нагревается. Причём так сильно, что приходится снимать чехол для телефона, чтобы он поскорее остыл. Отмечу, что я обновила ваше приложение до последней версии и в телефоне вовремя зарядки я ваше приложение не использую.
Надеюсь на отзывчивость. Благодарю вас заранее!

Unable to unsubscribe from spamming once registered
I’m keep getting spammed by ELSA ever since I’ve created my account. I unsubscribe every single time I get an email. Reached out to support, still getting spammed. Terrible marketing and support. The app wouldn’t be bad otherwise.
