This app deserves less than 1 star. It needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled several times a week to actually work. I will be searching for other services to protect my home because this service is unreliable, inconsistent, and quite frankly a pain to deal with.
Horrible App and control panel
Control panel lost functionality and the EMC quoted me a $1000 to get it back.
Disarming alarm
It is good when it works correctly, but often times it will blackout & you can’t disarm before coming in. I got a newer phone & still had the same issue.
Camera STILL does NOT work
Back deck camera has worked sporadically since installed. Totally quit working a month ago!!
Multiple tech/service calls for a year plus with this on going issue. Either fix the problem permanently, or we’re are ready for a new security company.

Slow moving app
This is one of the worst apps I’ve experienced ever. It doesn’t always connect well to the camera, moves slow (think dial up internet) and the layout is cumbersome requiring to many steps to get to basic things like your doorbell camera for example.

I really like EMC, sometimes I just forget to disarm. When my grandson is here I don’t set the alarm because he goes outside to smoke. So when he is not here I always set the alarm so sometimes I forget to disarm it. But I like to know I have it to use when I need it. Always arm it when I leave.

Equipment Huge Issue
The apps never work right and they are constantly logging me out. The tablet I have stopped working and they said I have to pay another $160 for a new one. The doorbell camera also takes forever to load that by time it’s done processing the person is gone. Also wish it would record longer. If it wasn’t for the month rate I would switch.

App is simple to use with my setup.
I love the price point and the simplicity of the keypad and the app but the only problem I have is a problem I truly hate and that is sometimes the app abruptly signs me out like I purposely did it myself.
It also boils my blood when it omits my password which I can retrieve and then I can start reusing the biometrics or Face ID.
This is very problematic for me especially when I’m entering my home during times where it’s very late.
Otherwise the security service is fantastic because the authorities were notified quickly to a freakish false alarm at one time.
I’ve had other more top of line subscriptions with a multi year contract but EMC Security otherwise is a sweet spot for me.

Unstable app
Constant issues with app. App closes / crashes often.
Now since last update cannot open app. Click app opens and closes. Did uninstall and reinstall. Still will not work.

The App is Very Glitchy
Every time I go to change the alarm status on my phone the app glitches! Updates have not help.
Alarm app for iPhone doesn’t always work.
Very sporadic resulting in having to manually arm/disarm alarm system more often than not. Therefore, totally useless when away from home.
No longer have the ability to arm and disarm
This app is simple yet useful, I don’t know what changed but I can no longer arm or disarm my system from this app. I can only do this from the tablets I have in the house
App Keeps Crashing
Had a camera installed and added to my app and now it’s constantly crashing and closing itself out. Takes me double the time to disarm my system or look at my camera footage because my app keeps constantly closing. I have deleted the app and reinstalled and it is still doing it. VERY frustrating and makes me regret getting the camera.
