Horrible and ridiculously slow
They just don’t understand the business of weed delivery there are plenty of other reputable places to order from. If you don’t want a headache or need your medication quick. For something that should be as simple as dropping something off I would advise you to order somewhere else
Best Cannabis Experience IMO
I've always loved Emjay. The fun/goofy flavor text is great. I REALLY appreciate being able to check out in-app rather than curbside. I recommend Emjay to everyone as I pass them walking around my neighborhood, unless they cross to the other side of the street.

Fastest delivery if you spend hundreds
Don’t expect a simple 40-60 dollar order to come on time. Watch them keep pushing your order to the back in order to deliver to the rich I guess. Wouldn’t it make more sense to deliver a first time order a little quicker to rope in potential long time customers? Then maybe I’ll spend more but I can’t even say how the product was, because it’s been five hours.

Wasn’t able to use it
Made a mistake entering phone number, was able to edit it, received the confirmation text, but the field to enter the code never appeared again… wasn’t able to locate it. So I wasn’t able to proceed with verification, nor to place an order. Should I register a new email now then, for a new account? Were your programmers high while making the app?

Free delivery will keep me.
I like the drivers and prices and the fact that they have free delivery! My only issue is the fact that I got weed that’s been on the “shelf” for 12 months. Im about to see how it smokes though. Will update.
Plug in App Form
The app itself flows well, but then it spits you out into the mobile site to complete transaction which seems pointless. Drivers are always friendly. Take cash and debit on site for $3 additional fee. I call it the “plug in app form” because if your item is not on their ASAP Menu then expect to wait for hours past the expected time with multiple continued delays, but the price is usually better than anyone else out there.

No category for cartridges
This is a pet peeve of mine. The complete absence of a “cartridges” category is maddening!!! It’s not just Emjay. The industry puts carts in various categories. WeedMaps also handles cartridges poorly. The only dispensary that does it right is Mission Organic in SF.
The Emjay website is actually better if you want to find carts. With the iOS app, carts are completely absent from the extracts category. You basically have to find them in the curated home screen, but it’s incomplete and time consuming.
Maybe it’s like the Costco strategy — move everything around so people will have to comb the entire store. Perhaps they will make an impulse buy! I’m more likely to go elsewhere. (I stopped shopping at Costco and shop at Amazon now, because I can find things and they’re cheap and they deliver.)
This is par for the course in the cannabis industry. The apps and websites are a mess. I don’t blame this on weed. The industry is staffed mostly by morons. They didn’t turn down an offer at Google to work on a dispensary app. The product managers, developers, QA and everyone involved are bottom-tier talent. You’d be better off outsourcing it to India.
This is simple e-commerce. Put your products in categories where customers can find them.
Also, showing customers the real cost, with tax, would be nice. All of the products cost > 30% of their listed price because of taxes, which aren’t included until you checkout. Multiply all prices by 1.3 to get a more accurate price.
I actually like Emjay’s stock and delivery. They have products I want, at a competitive price. It’s just that Emjay’s WeedMaps listing, website and native iOS app suffer from poor information architecture.
Just make a cartridges category at the top and let people browse it. You’ll probably sell more product if people can find it. See, my dad was a business professor, so I guess that’s why I know that hidden gem of knowledge… They call it “marketing”.

Great app for edibles
I love the selection of edibles that MJ provides. I bought some cookies and gummy‘s off the site the other week and they are amazing. Though, I would make some adjustments to the app. I would like an in app chat bot because on some of the edibles that I was choosing I would have some confusion as to if it was in the con dominant or sativa dominant. Also, I would at least lower the minimum delivery amount at least five dollars so that it is 20 instead of 25. I would also like a wish list so that I don’t have to keep stuff in my cart for a long time.
