What's New in EM

24.0.0

August 6, 2026

The greatest philosopher of the twentieth century once declared a library card was like a citizenship to the Land of Knowledge. Linus, our intrepid thinker, is captured forever in a sketch holding one such card aloft, proudly announcing to his sister Lucy and his best friend Charlie Brown that this is the key to everything he would go on to learn. Immortalized by librarians who clipped and taped the comic strip to their circulation desks all across the world, Linus would go on to become a symbol for everything a library holds in store for their patrons. We decided it was high time to bring that same energy to the EM:RAP iOS app’s library tab. It has been completely redesigned from the ground up, giving you full control over your playlists. Sort, group, and filter your playlists with ease. Downloads are now quicker to find, too, and it’s a cinch to locate the episodes your downloaded chapters have come from. We’ve even redesigned our menus, and fixed a number of bugs. Controlling what’s yours has never been easier. So what are you waiting for? Open the EM:RAP app and get learning in your own land of medical knowledge. You’re going to like what you find.

This app is so painful

I love EM:RAP as a podcast but this app is terrible. It loads so slowly, if at all. Even when it loads it can’t always handle itself; visible buttons won’t click because it runs so slowly. Even trying to post this review the app crashed. The is way too much fluff on the app; just have it load the content I subscribe too. It defaults to load the dashboard tab which is useless so I have to wait for it to let me click to audio. Even the audio tab has “continue listening” row that doesn’t work because it shows segments from a decade ago that I’ve never listened to. If I click “mark as listened” then that segment disappears and replaced with another never ending list of segments I’ve never listened to. Lastly, the new weekly format is dangerous. EMRAP has acknowledged that most listeners listen while driving. It used to be two easy access monthly chapters (EMRAP and EMA) but now they separate it to weekly so we have to do even more clicks that don’t load? Plus, each EMRAP chapter is inserted with several EMA summaries I’d have recurrently skip; just give me the autonomy to choose to listen to a summary or not.

Video organization awful

EMRAP as an educational organization is amazing but this app needs some seeious restructuring. It used to be much easier to stay on top of the new videos using the app. Now I don’t know which ones I have seen and which ones I have not. It’s all jumbled up. Help!

Great app

Best app ever I’m so grateful to have this resource to lean on and learn from, thank you!

Slow buggy iOS app

Content good, app terrible

Thank you for what you do

I am a mid-level provider (practitioner) I work in a rural days ER where we don’t have a lot of specialties around, we don’t get the opportunity to practice many of the procedures and diagnosis that you discussed here. So I thank you for helping me stay on top of my game to do the best that I can do.
