Brilliant, but would love this feature… ->
This works perfectly, and if you select voice recognition it types what you say and you can send it, you can also select the reply and get it to speak back to you. Better still would be if this was automated. Switch on voice recognition and send any text after 3 seconds of silence. Then read aloud the reply, then switch back to listening mode. Great App, none the less !

Learned a ton from setting this up and running everything locally. Great stuff! Keep it up!
Has all it needs
Useful for everyone with selfhosted models. Works perfectly with ollama. Most people who struggle have a skill issue. If you're willing to put some effort into your setup, this works really well.
Hardwired to Ollama, doesn’t work with LLM Studio
Despite LLM Studio being Open AI compatible, Enchanted fails to talk with it. I don’t know the reasons why, but I’m not going to duplicate over 100GB worth of models on disk just to run ollama, when my LLM Studio server is running fine with other applications.
Good enough
Timeout not configurable, cannot accept stream in background, cannot accept files with share button from other app. Great if fixed
Works very well
The only annoying thing is that it keeps scrolling while the text is being streamed, which makes it impossible to read while it isn’t finished.
Works well with my Mac Mini M1 hosted Llama3
The app was easy to setup and works quite well. It’s got the ability to use text to speech and to read the reply aloud if you manually select those options.
What would be better would be if the text to speech was triggered by a phrase, ended after say 3 seconds of not speaking, then automatically read out the reply.
Also the speech recognised text, after it’s been sent and you start replying, the original text reappears in the input box, that should be cleared after it’s sent.
But it’s a very promising App !

Good start but lacking features
IOS feature is limited. No upload files, tts, stt, RAG, generate image.
Couldn’t configure
I have a local LLM running via LMStudio on my network. There really isn’t much help with configuration and the settings screen is minimal. Trying various URL’s to connect to my local instance, no error messages and no connection. This may be a great app but I couldn’t figure out how to get it configured.

Not really good even for the basics …
Doesnt support styling via <think> … no proper reasoning, slow UI refresh, absolutely no features besides it being a “Mac App”.
Love completions but the rest is meh
The app offers completions which can be manually expanded, which can be a god sent. Unfortunately, that’s the only upside. The most annoying bit is that the input field always loses focus when the LLM renders its output, which means the user always has to click on the input field first to be able to type a new request, which makes it painful to have a flowing conversation. Then there’s other basic stuff, such as the poor contrast between grey background and grey text in light mode. Or the fact that there’s no interface to manage LLMs in Ollama. And why this requires an iCloud account to download is beyond me. Back to Ollama Swift for me since it works better in every aspect.

Great app for LLM
No doubt it’s perfect. But I’d like to be able to attach docs in chat

I wish I could send messages using the Enter key when using the Magic Keyboard on my iPad.
Works Well, Would Love to See Additions
It works well, and does what you expect. I would love to see Enchanted:
- Support keyboard shortcuts on the iPad (CMD-N; CMD-,; etc.).
- Allow for multiple end-points to switch between different models. This would allow switching between devices (different IP addresses) and models (ports, for example different RAG servers on one device).
- Sync chat history using iCloud (iPad, Mac, iPhone all with the same chat history).
- Better behavior when screen locks on iPhone/iPad (not just throwing a raw network error).
Would be happy to pay for these enhancements.

It just works
I looked around on the App Store for a while to find a LLM app that doesn’t force their own sucky LLM on you. I finally found this and it just works great. The only changes I would want would for the app the handle “thinking” models better and for support for function calls. Great app, does everything that it says it will.
