Pay to Use

It’s unfortunate that this app requires a paid subscription to use it to its full potential. When there is an app like ConcertArchives, you have to put something on the market that is either completely different or the same but better. This app is sadly the same as ConcertArchives but worse. ConcertArchives is completely free and has a larger user base. I was hoping this app would give me a reason to use it more than the other. I mainly wanted to try this app out because of the feature to rate concerts out of 5 stars. I will be sticking to using ConcertArchives, but hope to see improvements in this app!

Subscription needed 🙄

It’s a really cool concept but after you add 5 concerts, you MUST pay for premium to add more, which to me, is absolutely ridiculous.

Lag?

Honestly i’m really loving this app! The subscription is totally worth it since i go to a lot of shows and have been desperately looking for a way to track them!
A few issues however, the first being the lag the app has! When i try to scroll through the app there’s a noticeable lag, it’s not a hugeeee deal breaker but it kinda ruins the experience for me. Also when i try to look up cities they usually don’t come up! I go to a lot of concerts in nyc and when i try to look up “manhattan/brooklyn/queens” it doesn’t show and now my stats says i’ve even to 4 different countries but i can’t figure out why (i haven’t)! I would love to see if this could be updated as to where the lag isn’t as bad and the app could run smoothly!

Response from developer

Thank you so much for your review! 🙏 I’m really happy to hear you’re enjoying the app and finding it useful to track your shows. I’ll look into the lag issue today, if you can, please reach out through the contact form in the app so I can check what’s going on (I’m not experiencing it myself). As for the city search, Encore uses the Google Maps API, so neighborhoods like Brooklyn or Queens aren’t listed as individual cities. I would also look into the issue with countries :) Thanks for pointing that out!

Good For a New App

I go to lots of shows and needed a way to keep track of them and I found this app on TikTok. I will say the app is organized well and user friendly. Unfortunately, I had to pay $15 for a premium account to add more than 5 shows (c’mon, anyone who is downloading this app has likely been to way over 5 shows). I do wish that there was a way to add festivals to my diary rather than just artists, where I could select all of the artists I saw at the festival. I would love for there to be optional sections for “openers” and “special guests” under each show as well. There is a noted section where that can be added, but it would be cool to be able to select the artist and see that artist’s photo like the main artist. A “setlist” section could be cool too, especially if it could be integrated with Apple Music/Spotify and I could relive the concert all over again. Overall, still things I would love to see, but pretty good for a new app and I hope to see it grow and improve!

Response from developer

Hey! Thanks a lot for such a detailed and thoughtful review. I really appreciate it 💙 I totally get your point about the premium. I’m sorry it’s paid, but I do have to make a living somehow 😅. That said, I’m super committed to improving the app and releasing new features constantly. I’m already working on adding festivals, along with other cool updates you mentioned (openers, special guests, setlists, etc.). I’m all-in on this project, and you can expect new stuff every week or two. Thanks again for supporting and helping the app grow, it really means a lot!
