About

Enough for Now is an app blocker for people who want fewer distractions without turning their phone into another complicated project. Choose the apps or categories that tend to pull you away, decide when the lock should run, and let Apple Screen Time add useful friction during that window. Use it for a focused work session, an evening study block, a meeting, writing time, or the part of the night when one quick check usually becomes another hour of scrolling. Every lock is created by you, with a clear start, a clear end, and a visible reason for being there. START A QUICK LOCK When you need to begin now, Quick Lock keeps the setup short. Choose apps or categories, pick a duration, add an optional note to yourself, and start. The Home screen shows the active rule and its end time, while the Screen Time shield reminds you why the selected app is unavailable. BUILD RULES AROUND REAL LIFE Enough for Now supports three schedule types: - Countdown for a one-time focus window - Recurring for routines such as weekdays, study hours, or bedtime - Date Range for a specific start and end date Recurring rules can cross midnight, so a bedtime rule can begin at night and finish the next morning. Countdown rules also support a custom hour-and-minute duration. The current version supports up to three rules, keeping the list useful without turning setup into a planning system of its own. SEE WHAT IS ACTIVE The Home screen shows the current lock state, active rules, saved notes, and when the longest-running rule will end. Rule details show the schedule, selected scope, local status events, and any edit-protection period. If Screen Time permission or schedule registration needs attention, the app explains what happened and offers a way to reapply the rules. MAKE IMPORTANT RULES HARDER TO CHANGE For recurring routines that matter, you can enable rule edit protection for 1, 7, or 30 days. While that protection is active, the rule remains available to review but cannot be edited, paused, or deleted from the normal controls. Confirmation uses Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode when available, and the end time is shown before you enable it. OPTIONAL UNINSTALL PROTECTION Enough for Now can also request Apple's Screen Time uninstall-protection setting for 1, 7, or 30 days. This is a user-enabled, time-limited layer of friction. The app shows whether iOS reports the setting as active and when it expires. It does not override iOS, Screen Time authorization, or device-owner controls. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your rules, schedules, selected Screen Time tokens, and local status history stay on your iPhone. Enough for Now does not require an account, developer server, cloud sync, advertising SDK, or third-party analytics. There is no social feed and no data-selling business model. Enough for Now uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks. App selections stay behind Apple's protected system interface, and the app does not read content inside selected apps. FREE CORE FEATURES, NO SUBSCRIPTION The current version is free and does not include a subscription or paid feature gate. An optional Tip Jar lets you support continued development with a one-time consumable purchase. Tips do not unlock features, raise limits, or change how app blocking works. LANGUAGES Use Enough for Now in English, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese. REQUIREMENTS AND BOUNDARIES Enough for Now requires iOS 17 or later and Screen Time authorization to block selected apps or categories. Blocking depends on Apple Screen Time services and the permission you grant. If authorization is removed, the app cannot continue applying those restrictions. Enough for Now is built for self-directed focus. It does not monitor another person's messages, browsing, location, or private content, and it does not make medical or productivity guarantees. It gives you a clear way to decide, in advance, when distracting apps should be harder to open.
