Does not work!

Out of the five tabs that are included in this app only two of them work. The rest just have a purple dial in the middle acting like it's working on it but nothing ever happens. The app simply has major flaws. I have an iphone 17 and great internet. It is definitely not user error here. Update: I was contacted by the developer to say that these problems were fixed and I can attest that they still are not fixed. For me to pay what I feel like is a significant amount for an app and to have over half of the tabs inside the app not work is very disappointing.

Hey! Thanks for the review, and happy to say that this has been resolved. I pushed a bug recently related to auth. Solved by logging out and back in. I did send out an email blast with this notice. Maybe it went to spam for you. If you give it a try again, please log out and back in to get it working again. 🤝

Update! An app truly worth the download!

I am Still using the app almost a year later and it still passes the vibe check!!! I am by no means a rich person but please do yourself a favor and download this app if you want to get your finances together at whatever stage you are in! $7.99 a month is so worth it! I have tried free options, paid options, and nothing has compared to this app. There has been so many updates since I downloaded it that has improved my experience. The feedback is truly listened too! Very easy to use and customizable. Take control of your budget or lay back and connect your accounts to auto transfer your expenses! Your pick!
I cannot rave about this app enough, please give it a shot. Consider this the start of your financial investment.

Negative Changes - SOLVED!

UPDATE- Igor figured out what the issue was!! First and foremost, even though we have had previous communication by email with no issues, this time I requested support all of his replies were getting sent to my spam folder so I wasn’t seeing them. So the amazing customer service I enjoyed before is absolutely still the case. It didn’t even occur to me to check my spam folder since we had multiple communications in the past that way so I kinda feel stupid for assuming he wasn’t replying… Once we figured that out, he was able to solve my transaction / bank problem immediately and of course he is looking into it more to make sure it isn’t a problem moving forward for anyone else. So everything in my review from before no longer applies! I truly love this app and it has helped my budgeting and bill tracking process drastically. While I love the app, the customer service continues to be the best part of the experience. If you don’t get a reply, just double check your spam folder! 😅 Thank you again, Igor!!

I’ve been using this app for quite some time now and it was absolutely amazing until very recently. I’ve reached out to support multiple times via email where I used to get responses very quickly from the developer Igor who has in the past provided such amazing customer service, but I am not getting any replies from him anymore since this issue started. Up until this started I would have told anyone and everyone I would be a lifetime customer, but if this doesn’t get fixed and I can’t get in touch with customer service for help then I am going to be forced to find another way to keep track of my budget. I’m really starting to struggle to keep track of my stuff now since my transactions aren’t uploading. I don’t want to find someone else, I have absolutely loved this app in particular and have tried so many others, so I’m really really bummed… please please fix this issue as soon as possible, Igor. 😢 i am for real so sad about this.

Ariel! Please check your spam! I am so sorry. I have replied to both of your emails and it seems you are not getting them. Can you please check spam? Here is what I said to your emails: "Hey, it looks to be an issue with that bank. I just flipped your connection to unhealthy. Can you see if you can reconnect. This might fix the issue." Also, if you are still not able to receive my emails, please try joining the Discord server that you can find in the Settings of the app. I am still actively working on this app every day. This is so unfortunate. I think my emails are going to spam for some users. Please check 🙏 Please join Discord if you can!

Don’t look back. Get this app!!!!

As a person who has tried multiple apps,physical envelopes,spreadsheet, you name it. This app has been amazing! Any questions I have are answered within a timely manner and not weeks later. They take suggestions to improve the app. $7.99 a month, trust me it’s worth it. I always wanted to try “free” options to save money and thought Why would you pay for a budgeting app? This app proved me wrong! Do yourself a favor and try this app out!

Wonderful budget and amazing developers

The developers of this app are amazing. I’ve made suggestions and sent emails and often times they got back to me fairly quickly and if it was within their ability to do what I asked, they did it, which is so different then any other development company I have dealt withbefore. They have been kind and generous to their supporters and I greatly appreciate the work and passion they pour into their app. budgeting is a passion of mine. I have gone through every single budgeting app in the App Store and I can gladly say this is one of the best, the app in itself is nice, I love the envelope system and they have made it easy to use with their auto assign features, category groups and goals. I believe it has room to grow and become even better and I can't wait to see where they go from here.

Nicely done

This app is not yet feature complete enough for me to use. Setting that aside for a moment, they’re off to a really great start.

Most significantly, the app is incredibly snappy. Budgeting a whole list of categories goes really fast, whereas other apps make this a slow and cumbersome process. The same is true for manually categorizing transactions.

Because I know they’re going to ask, Here are some features I’m missing that would be necessary for me to consider actually converting:

- Import apple account transactions. I wish this weren’t a custom API.
- The ability to budget entire category groups automatically, eg, “budget all for upcoming transactions” or “budget all for average spent”
- Smarter category suggestions — when a transaction payee matches a previous transaction it should suggest that category at the top of the list.
- some sort of import from YNAB would be really useful, even if it required manually exporting my data. I spent about an hour copying my categories over, and I didn’t even finish. If I were to migrate, it would be a disappointment to lose all my historical categorization, but not necessarily a dealbreaker. Just getting the categories and amounts allocated would be huge.

Thank you for this amazing review. It really does mean a lot when a user understands the complexity of building an app and why some features might be missing in the early stages. I really do appreciate it. I've taken down all of these missing features and will prioritize them accordingly. One feature you suggested I believe is already in the app - "smart category suggestions". When you select a payee, the app looks at previous transactions with that payee and automatically sets the category and account. Great alternative to other budgeting apps!

I enjoy this app. Easy to use and UI is very nice. Developers listens to community, takes our feedback into consideration, and always interacts with community. The app has gotten lot better because of it.

Awesome YNAB alternative/replacement

I bit the bullet and switched to Kualia from YNAB. After playing around with the app for a while, I’ve come to the conclusion that Kualia is an excellent YNAB replacement. While it IS missing a few features that YNAB has (reordering of accts, inability to sync with investment, retirement, loan accts - tho the app does say this is coming soon) it’s definitely something I can look past.

Both the UI and UX have been superior to YNAB in my opinion; a lot cleaner and with a more minimalist look.

Igor the dev has been excellent in responding to questions and concerns and the app does have an area where the users can vote on new features which is an awesome feature for new apps or services.

Much like any new app or startup tho, I do hope Kualia sticks with their plans to add new features while maintaining a fair (and hopefully lower) price compared to their competitors. Time will tell and until then, I’ll be using Kualia for the foreseeable future.

Minimalist, Chic, and Stylish

I never write reviews on any apps from the Apple Store, but this app caught my attention. It’s very easy and simple to use. I’ve tried other budgeting apps but they were too complicated and difficult to use, but this app, is quite the opposite. As a minimalist and a penny pincher, this app fits perfectly into my life style. It was so easy to link my bank account. The app is very beautiful too.

Great app

Coming from YNAB, I was looking for something that could do the same thing for cheaper. This is about half the price and the user interface is way more polished. This app is so good that I'm surprised it's not more popular. It's a no brainier to switch to Kualia.

Finally a good one

This app forces you to be deliberate with where each dollar goes. Might annoy some but I think it keeps everything organized. Looks like a new app with good promise
