It all honesty
I feel like maybe we should have a main layout that has other buttons to you know the story or like a shop or to watch for free chapters and maybe add another way to keep track of the routes and endings we do or make you know some other ways to get free chapters and coins.
To improve!
The truth is there are a couple of things that don't make sense to me! she is a proud mermaid and they lock her in that place and she obeys like nothing? Hmm I don't think so! I think she needed to fight, resist and that she accepted things little by little! I don't know, it doesn't convince me at all.

Story: 5/5, Game mechanics: 3/5, Price: 5/5
Story
Having previously Ephemeral-the residents in the dark-, I have so much praise for this sequel. As I have said in the original Ephemeral game review, I cannot help but fall in love with this dark fantasy world. It is beautiful in that the world is a cruel place, created by an ugly race. I have never seen a world as thoughtfully developed. The revelations that lead to learning the facility’s history is thrilling.
In addition to the twisted world, the twisted love in the story is dark and alluring. Too often do we see perfect romances between flawless characters in love stories. Ephemeral gives you a completely different side. To wrap it all up, I love the world and the routes!
Game Mechanics
You can only move forward in the game and there is no log. This makes it very frustrating when you miss something because your choice is between finishing and restarting the chapter or never know what you missed. Please consider adding a log. Both Story Jar and games by Genius Inc have them.
There are choices in the game, but they don’t make much of an impact on the plot, nor do they give you different information. This means that there is no need to try different choices by rereading.
The BGM from Ephemeral-the residents in the dark- is as charming as always.
Price
The title’s good! It’s also playable for free. The easy way is to purchase keys or be patient and save up points for keys by watching the ad for 40 points once per day. You can also do both to save money and speed up the process.
Overall, I love it! Dear developers, won’t you please, please, please consider making another sequel? I love this world and want to learn more about the marionette class!

So I liked the first one
I enjoyed the first one alot and assumed that the set up would be similar but it's not. The set up this sequal has is a bit uncomfortable to navigate through. Which was a bit of a let down because I was really excited. I was really since I liked the first one so much. A thing I liked about the first one was how we got coins and how the coins could be used to buy new segments. Very simple and worked well, in my opinion it was perfect. This is another thing that ties in with set up too. I like how straight forward it was and how it flowed easily. The flow of this sequal in terms of controls and set up are leaving more to be desired after the first one. I can't even find if I can change my name or not. also If I can't change my name why not? In the first one you could change your name no problem. This is only one example of the many inconveniences this app has that the other one didn't. Although I will say that the story is interesting and I'm looking forward to the rest of it. I just am hoping that the set up could be different, maybe more like the original? Anyways it's great I just believe there are some set up, settings and currency tweaks that could be done.

Surprisingly dark
I’ve played a couple routes of the original Ephemeral (Shiba and Ray) so I was completely unprepared for just how dark this sequel was.
I don’t know how they managed to get away with a rating of just 9+ considering the themes and plot...certainly not something I’d want my child to read and I’m pretty liberal. (Topics covered include child abuse, sex, self harm/mutilation etc.)
Anyways, surprises and rating aside, I loved the game. The translation or spelling was a little off at times, but not so bad I couldn’t figure out what was intended. I loved the story and loved the characters. I just wish there was a fourth route with the doctor!
