Misleading
It would be great if the whole game was protecting the cats from the bees, but you do very little of that and the rest is the most uninteresting waste of time ridiculous game of building a city or something, it’s horrible
Nope
This is seriously not even the same game. I can’t even believe it.
Fun
A very fun game with lots of nice people from around the world
Preferred treatment
The game is flawed by preferential treatment to players that spent over 100k USD. These accounts have since been sold or transferred to another player which is against the games TOS. When this issue is brought to the attention of customer service nothing is done about it. You can provide the proof of the individual stating that the account was given to them. You can provide the proof that accounts are being advertised for sale on Discord and their own in game world chat of the same individual selling accounts. Again a violation of their TOS. If I could go back in time I would never download this game and waste the money I had spent on it.

pay to win
This game is very bad. A waste of time and a money grabber. The top Players end up paying hundreds of thousands of dollars. You will never have the chance to grow and win. The devs dont care about the players. You can’t progress at all if you don’t spend thousands of dollars. The advertisements are fake. The community is very toxic and bullies are everywhere.

Just trust me
It started out great easy leveling then come the money 1000’s of dollars just to be able to complete then comes the devs and fairy’s all AI generated answers but in short they’re a scam pay to play business
Save your time and money
Epic War lures players in with a mini game that has little to nothing to do with the actual gameplay. What you see in the advertisements is not what you’ll spend most of your time doing once you start playing.
At its core, this is a heavily pay to win game. Nearly every aspect of progression is designed to push players toward spending money. If you choose not to spend, your progress eventually slows to a crawl. Meanwhile, you’ll be matched against much larger and stronger players who can easily overwhelm everything you’ve worked to build.
What makes this even more frustrating is the inconsistency in enforcement. The game has banned players who spent months or years building their accounts, while other accounts that have clearly been sold, transferred, or shared among alliance members continue operating without consequences. It gives the impression that rules are applied differently depending on how much money a player spends.
The community can also become extremely toxic. In game communication is often filled with harassment, drama, and hostility, and the moderation does little to improve the experience.
The biggest problem, however, is that the game seems to prioritize revenue above everything else. Player experience, fair competition, and long term enjoyment all appear secondary to encouraging more spending.
My recommendation is simple, save yourself the stress, frustration, and expense. There are plenty of other games that will respect both your time and your wallet far more than Epic War does.

Favoritism
The Devs on this game put certain servers above all even when they know they are breaking the TOS/account sharing, and ban other players for calling them out on it.
Whatever you do, do not download this game
This is by far the most greedy game I have ever seen. I have played the game for almost 2 years and have seen blatant greed, violations of terms of service, and countless other grievances across the entire community. The development team does not care about the game or the people. It is riddled with bugs and crashes, yet their only goal is to figure out how to get more money out of you without fixing anything. It’s a poor game with poor performance and a worst development team.

Pay to play (thousands)
Servers are led by players who have paid 10’s of thousands of USD (or more). These accounts openly get purchased and transferred to other players making it so that new players can never catch up. The devs refuse to do anything about these accounts that go around making the game miserable for the smaller/newer players.
In addition - if you got hooked by the mini game at the start it doesn’t last. The mini game maxes early on and it ends up being a completely different game after that.

P2W 100%
So yes the game is free and yes you can “play for free” but every turn you take you WILL hit a paywall. They constantly add new features but guess what?… you gotta pay to advance. If you are not able to pay minimum $100 per week then you will lose to stronger people and you will lose every event. There was a time when it’s possible to win events by saving up but the goals became unachievable. The developers only look at how much money they will make and don’t give a second thought to those not able to spend. I’ve been playing since game launch and watched the game go downhill. The most recent update is for weapons for the ssr character and the only option to obtain is by spending. You got an option to get 2 versions for the free characters they allow but even that requires a large amount of rss from expedition. Don’t spend 10k+ on this to still be only top 30 if that. People complain of dead servers all the time cause anyone not willing to spend quits quickly. Break down those paywalls and hands down game a 10 out of 10 but the paywalls make playing impossible without spending.

Cannot Connect to Server…
Update: just as expected. The developer criticized my network connection. Look, it’s YOUR problem for having such a poorly written and deployed server. We users are not idiots.
Can’t even start game after download. Delete. Before anyone tells me to check my internet connection, how do you think I was able to post this review? My WiFi is 100% working and 1Gbps fast

Disappointed
They could have made the game as they advertise where the entire game is based on the spin blade battles. Instead, you get to play 4 levels of that, and then they force you to play this weird hero battle rpg game that everyone hates. Get rid of the hero RPG battle, and make the game as you advertise it. So sick of this

game didn't match ad or pic
it's a gacha game where you get female hero's to fight with cooldown actions. it's the fake ad type game, with the advertised game being some shoehorned in side thing, with repeating levels.
Not even the game that the pictures have in the app store
Play this game for about 10 minutes just to see if it was at least even a mini game in the game and I didn’t even get to the sea one of them. The tutorial seems like a elaborate thing or it’s like you have to really actually think and play the game that is even in the pictures where the what was advertised don’t waste your time if it was the game that actually was in the pictures and stuff. I would keep it and I would play it every n now and then i’m not looking for a grinding game

Fake game, false advertisement
In app purchases, not what was advertised when downloaded
Fake ad
Fake ad posted, I installed and the game is totally different, very disappointed
