I like it

It alerted my husband during a tonic clonic seizure and it doesn’t have false alarms which is nice. I like that it’s FDA approved I just wish it wasn’t so much more expensive than the other apps. I also like that they added a seizure log type thing to it so you can record when you have one. Overall it does its job it’s just so pricey($20 a month when most others are $12-$14 a month)so that’s why I give it a 4.

Doesnt work

The app doesnt work so they “gave me 2 free months” but really that two months only ended up being like 14 days now it’s expired already. 1 and a half months early. Thanks for nothing

Seizure

My son just had a terrible seizure and it did not notify us and he had his watch on.

Should’ve avoided Apple

Being exclusively apple is their biggest problem. Great system and apple ruins it. Requesting money back. Call me when you get away from apple.

Latest update makes the watch die quickly

The most recent update makes Apple Watch count the monitoring sessions as a workout - this makes the watch die quickly, which is a problem if you need to wear the watch continuously for many hours. The battery used to last ~12 hours while monitoring continuously, now the watch dies after ~7 hours of monitoring. We reached out to the support email but have not received a response, hopefully there’s an updated fix soon. Prior to this we had no complaints!!

Don’t waste your time

I found an article online praising EpiWatch. I read how it was the only FDA approved app. Once I tried to create an account, it then requires a prescription from your doctor. Which was fine. What they don’t disclosed up front is the annual cost of $220 to use the app. You don’t find this out until after you downloaded the app, create the account, have your provider send you a script, send the script to the app, the app has to approve your script. Then after all that, you are hit with a fee of $220. Please don’t waste your time and energy.

How does this work

There is little information to find to demonstrate how this works. I see no way to log information or no notifications that insure it is monitoring or not. They were quick to activate my account once I uploaded the prescription (less than 12 hours) and the test alert and calls worked well for everyone, but that’s it. Having some reassurance or at the least an official video that shows what the app looks like both from the phone, and from the actual watch would be helpful. Also I am a parent with my child’s watch and child’s apple id paired to my phone so that would need a separate video than an adult monitoring their own. Thankya

Caregiver -Kathryn Gurley

This App alerted our son Ben, who has Epilepsy and Ventricular Tachycardia. The App alerted Ben BEFORE he had a tonic-clonic or grand mal seizure! It is very dark out, and Ben’s blood sugar was low. Ben drank some ginger ale, and Ben did not go into a seizure because of this App! We are SO GRATEFUL! We were in the same room and heard the ding, then a ten-second countdown to alert caregivers, which Ben stopped because we were with him. We have NEVER had an APP ( and we have tried them ALL alert us before a seizure! This is Brilliant, THANK YOU EpiWatch! 🙏
