Thanks for the honest feedback. To clarify: there's one standard annual price shown at signup, with a 7-day free trial so nothing is charged before you decide. The lower price you saw is a separate loyalty/win-back offer shown later to people who've already tried the app - not a different price for different people up front. Sorry it read as a bait-and-switch; happy to have you try the free trial if you reconsider. - Nick from the Eppika Team

Thank you for the detailed, fair feedback. Tapping a word shows its meaning in context, and we hear you that the vocab list needs more — part of speech, tense, examples — it's on our list.
