Thank you, that means a lot. The daily content is the part we put the most work into, so it's good to know it lands. Enjoy the reading. Nick, Eppika
Blocks on page 5
Response from developer
That prompt is the free-tier limit, which means the app isn't seeing your payment. It's treating your account as free, stopping you at the preview limit and offering you the discount screen. This is almost always a sign-in mismatch: your subscription sits on the email you paid with, and the app is signed in under a different one. Apple sign-in makes it easy to hit, because it can hide your real address behind a relay address. Sign out, then sign back in using the exact email you paid with, and the block should lift. If it doesn't, email support@eppika.com from that address and I'll link the accounts myself. You paid, and you should be reading. Nick, Eppika

Best Language App ever
Response from developer
Thank you, this is the best kind of feedback to get. Reading and listening together is exactly what the audio is for, and hearing that your comprehension and pronunciation both moved is why it was built that way. Enjoy the next book. Nick, Eppika
Terrible app
If you are serious about language learning, there are plenty of other resources out there that are not scammy.
Response from developer
On the charge: our free trial only exists on the annual plan. The monthly and 3-month plans bill at purchase, so if you picked one of those, no trial was running and the charge was the plan price on day one. That reads exactly like being charged during a trial, and that's on us to make clearer, not on you to have guessed. Refunds on App Store purchases are Apple's decision, not ours. We can't issue one or overturn one, which is how you ended up with their prorated offer. On the narration, you're right: the voices are synthetic. The books are graded adaptations, mostly of public-domain works, rewritten to match your reading level. That's what the product is, and it isn't for everyone. If you want me to look at what you were actually charged for, email support@eppika.com. Nick, Eppika
Great idea. Doesn’t work well
The play button only played audio first time I used it. After that I only saw an endless activity indicator!
Come on devs! Just use it to learn Spanish and you’ll see it’s buggy!!!!! Then I will change my review - when you make the feature of playing audio more stable
Response from developer
You're right, and it isn't your device. We've found a fault where the audio fails to load and hangs on the spinner instead of starting. It's logged, it's affecting a lot of people, and we're working on it. I won't give you a date I can't keep. Two things that sometimes get it moving meanwhile: force-close and reopen the app, and try on a different network. Some of these failures are the audio file never fetching at all. You said you'd revisit the review once audio is stable. That's fair, and I'd rather earn that than ask for it. Nick, Eppika
Decent
Response from developer
Really glad it's clicking for Italian. That's the whole idea: real stories at your level instead of textbook-flat graded readers. We add new Italian titles regularly, so there should always be something next. Happy reading! Nick from Eppika
Reading daily!
Response from developer
This is exactly the balance we work hardest to get right — interesting AND at your level, not just simplified. So glad it clicked for you. Enjoy the next book! — Nick, Eppika Team
Keep it up!
Response from developer
This is exactly what we hoped reading nightly would do — and pairing it with podcasts, subtitles and real conversations is the right way to do it. Thank you for taking the time to write this up. Enjoy the next book. — Nick, Eppika
Far too expensive
Response from developer
Thanks for the honest feedback. To clarify: there's one standard annual price shown at signup, with a 7-day free trial so nothing is charged before you decide. The lower price you saw is a separate loyalty/win-back offer shown later to people who've already tried the app - not a different price for different people up front. Sorry it read as a bait-and-switch; happy to have you try the free trial if you reconsider. - Nick from the Eppika Team
Excited to try
After using the app for a few days:
I love that I could just jump to my intermediate level and begin learning! I have never found a language program that allowed this; and I have searched for years!
The books are interesting and entertaining. I am enjoying reading in a way I did not expect. I love that I can practice the tenses in Spanish in real time! (Especially past tense!)
I love the feature that will allow me to save words I do not understand.
I have two suggestions:
1. After I practice the vocabulary word. I would like to use the “hard/ easy” tool. Could you make it sort my words so that I can just review the words I marked “hard” for me?
Also, I would love a highlight tool. So that I could highlight phrases to review. This would help me to review the hard words together in the context of the story.
Response from developer
Thank you so much for the kind words, and welcome! 🎉 We hope Eppika helps make Spanish feel natural for both home and work. Come back and update your review anytime — and if you ever hit a snag, email support@eppika.com and we'll sort it fast.
Great books but a bit expensive
Response from developer
Thanks for giving it a try, and glad saving words (those past-tense conjugations especially) clicked for you. I hear you on price — the yearly plan works out a lot cheaper per month than the weekly. If you'd like to keep going, email support@eppika.com and I'll sort out a better rate for you.
Amazing

Thank you, this made our day! Love that the intermediate level landed just right and that a quick tap kept you reading. Going back through with the narrator is a great way to sharpen listening and accent. Happy reading!
Great app for readers!
I only wish that the bot reader came in different voices and the vocabulary review was more than 10 words at a time.
Response from developer
Thank you, so glad the level-matched stories and progress tracking are working for you! Different narrator voices and longer vocab-review sessions are both great suggestions — I've passed them to the team. Happy reading!
Way too many errors
Response from developer
Thank you for the detailed feedback — and we're really glad the daily stories landed well. You're right about El niño de la bola: mixed-up names, missing details, and repeated lines shouldn't happen, and we've flagged that book for a full rework. We'd genuinely love for you to give it another try once it's updated. — The Eppika Team
Feels like a beta product.
Response from developer
Thank you for the detailed, fair feedback. Tapping a word shows its meaning in context, and we hear you that the vocab list needs more — part of speech, tense, examples — it's on our list. The missing quotation marks in dialogue is a real bug we're fixing; a mute option and removing books are noted too. Email support@eppika.com and we'll follow up as these ship. We'd love to earn more stars. — The Eppika Team
I Like It but…
The biggest issue for me is when I cannot finish a story in the hours allotted, it just disappears! A new story appears the next day with seemingly no way back to unfinished reading. I was engrossed by some stories I didn’t get to finish (life happens). And while I can see all my completed books, I can’t find my incomplete reading! Am I missing something?
Also, while the story selection is wonderful in simplified Spanish, I found at least one that was very inaccurate (like it was written by AI). I believe the “Hero” of Eppika’s translation of the La Camisa de Margarita is actually the “bad” guy. Am I wrong? Because I enjoy the reading, I often look up the stories after reading them in the app so I was surprised by such an inaccuracy. Of course, many details of the original stories are left out for simplicity but some details actually drive the story and without those details, the story doesn’t really make sense (so far only one story was really confusing because of missing details). I suspect AI to be the culprit. So, I do hope the Spanish pronunciation and phrasing I am learning on Eppika isn’t mangled by AI, as I read a review where someone mentioned the pronunciation is sometimes incorrect.
Response from developer
Thank you, yogojo! Two things: saving phrases (not just single words) is a great idea we're considering. And on stories "disappearing" — the daily free story is just for that day, but any book you open from the library stays there for you to continue. If one read as inaccurate, tell us which at support@eppika.com and we'll fix it. — The Eppika Team
Tudo é pago.

Obrigado pelo retorno, Ana. Entendemos a questão do preço — por isso há uma história grátis todos os dias, sem assinatura. A assinatura mantém toda a biblioteca, o áudio e as novidades semanais. — Equipe Eppika
Just what I needed to improve my Italian
Not only is this great for my Italian, but I am reading classic literary short stories by amazing authors, instead of clunky “written for learners” stories.
Probably not for anyone who doesn’t enjoy reading fiction.
Response from developer
Grazie mille! Reading real literary short stories instead of clunky "written-for-learners" text is exactly our aim — so glad it's helping your Italian. — The Eppika Team
