What's New in Dreaming

1.79.1

September 8, 2026

* Upgraded some behind-the-scenes tech to keep things running smoothly and ready for what’s next. * Added video previews to Discovery, so you can get a quick peek before diving in. * Video thumbnails now update when they’ve changed, so things stay looking fresh. * Fixed previews when sharing Achievement images, so they’ll look right before you hit send. * Fixed a layout issue where bottom tab icons could wander off-screen if you use a very large text size. * Fixed a crash that could happen if you scrolled a little too enthusiastically. * Fixed the default time when adjusting how much you watched after marking a video as watched. * Fixed episodes showing up incorrectly in series details — everything should be back in the right order. * Completion popups now show the video title, so you know exactly what you just finished. * Fixed white text on a white background in playlist details. Invisible text isn’t much of a feature.

The content is good but the app is trash. crashes too much

app crashes too often.

Great learning method, app needs a few tweaks.

This app is _mostly_ a good way to view the Dreaming Spanish content, except for two big drawbacks:
1. There is no landscape mode on iPad for the menu. It _will_ switch to landscape if you make the video full screen, but if you go back to the menu, it will rotate the screen sideways which is difficult to use.
2. The subtitle timing is _slightly_ off. It advances about a second too fast. There is no adjustment (that I have found) in the app to delay it. All videos seem to have subtitles that are off by about the same amount.

Great content, Completely Broken Subtitles

Lots of great content at all different levels for learning, but when trying to use this as a supplement to other methods of learning Spanish, it fails pretty badly with the subtitles. Considering the sole purpose of the app is teaching you a language, it’s kind of unacceptable how horrible the subtitles work.

Skipping back ten seconds to hear something again? Subtitles gone (even though they still show as being on in the toggle menu. Scrubbed the video back or forward at all? Subtitles now out of sync. Accidentally changed phone orientation? Subtitles shrink then disappear. Watching a video in its entirety without causing touching anything? Subtitles still get out of sync regularly.

Please fix this.
