App doesn’t work
Shame on the management that created this app. If any are still employed, fire them immediately. App does not work and therefore the plugins are useless. Terrible terrible waste.
Dead app
This app no longer recognizes WiFi networks. The last update was 5 years ago, so either the developers died of Covid or they have abandoned their app. - this app. I have six of these plugs and can't get the app to recognize a WiFi network.
Can’t connect to Alexa
The in-app instructions say to type in “EQUES elf” into the “Skills & Games” part of the Alexa app to be able to log in and connect the device, but when you search for that on the Alexa app, nothing comes up! It cannot be connected to Alexa which is why I wanted this smart plug.
Figured it out for Google home
I don’t even know if this is still being developed on, but here we go.
I got four of these from my father in law. We both like tech, and I guess he couldn’t figure them out. I had the same problem he did, but have more patience, they would fail when trying to connect to my WiFi. I noticed they use 2.4Ghz. I have a tri-band router that should auto connect to the right frequency. I guess this was not the case. I let them sit for about 4 months and decided to try again.
I took one device and setup a 2.4Ghz guest network on my router and connected my phone to it. I ran the app setup and the plug was discovered and connected in about thirty seconds. I tested the on/off switch and it worked.
I then reconnected my phone to my primary network, opened Google home, added a device that works with Google, searched eques elf, et voila!
I’m rating 3 because it works, however, I had to provide my own IT support.

Alexa skill gone
Looks like the Alexa skill is now gone making these devices next to worthless. I have about 10 of them I’ll have to replace.
Useless with Alexa
Another firmware update disaster. Eques totally disabled and removed ALL Alexa functionality.
4 wall plugs worked fine. NOW all 4 won’t get recognized
Writing a complaint type of review is tempting. Instead I’m hoping the developers read this and try to improve. I purchased 4 wall plugs that worked n did as described. About a year goes by, and one by one they each started showing they were not recognized by network. Now, not one works. All do not get recognized.
OWNERS/DEVELOPERS please step in here. Chime in to this review and tell all of us ppl that you have the resolve to make your product that we paid hard earned $$$ for. Make these units operate. $$$ is especially not easy to throw away taking a chance on “online” non refundable items. Please make these work again then all reviews can become positive.

Integration with Alexa
Integration with Alexa seems impossible as the upgrade has taken away the option of uploading configuration.
Doesn’t work( possible scam?)
After 30 minutes of trying, it doesn’t work.
I had to provide my email address to a third party company to “try” to get it to work. I will be throwing it in the trash.

Newest update ruined everything
All my devices were removed from my account and I’m no longer able to add them. What a waste a money.
Terrible WiFi comparability
Have tried this product in 4 WiFi locations (home /office / 2 friends houses) and doesn’t recognize any of them. Utterly useless. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Total scam
Newest update has unreadable UI
Pretty solid product and the app mostly does its simple job well enough. However, the newest update removed all of my devices and half the new UI is unreadable because of white text on white background.
Has been solid, can’t rename plugs after last update
Can access them, edit schedules etc, but throws a “check your network” error if you try to rename individual plugs with the latest update.
Bad update
This update is bad. It wiped out your previous configuration and will not let you add a new one because it will not detect that your phone is connected to the WiFi. Basically need to throw it all in the trash now and go buy from a different company!
Worthless
These worked great when I got them. Now I changed my router and can’t get them to work. Support told me they’re coming with new app to fix issue that was a month ago. Now they want a list of my equipment version numbers and a bunch of other crap. I’m guessing they have no idea so they’ll be going in trash they are worthless.

[iOS13] Cannot add new plug
The app seem to detect SSID to determine if you connect to the correct network for AP mode and for configuring a new plug. Since iOS 13, Apple added privacy to prevent apps from accessing SSID information. This app have not been updated to skip the SSID detection, allowing user to add new plug.

Timing issue
How do you verify the internal clock is accurate? Example: 16:00(4:00 PM) is set on my smart outlet. However, at 16:00, it does not do what it is supposed to do. The switch works., but it seems as if the clock is set wrong. How do I reset the internal clock to reflect the current time so the switch schedule works? This is partly due to DST last Sunday.....

This app is awful
It’s so janky the way it’s set up to work with google home or Alexa. And why does it need you to set up an account, giving the company your email address? And I can’t even get the smart plug to connect after 30 minutes of trying. And I have a friggin phd.
