Record function is gone š
The apps are still great playalongs and the mixer is very useful. But the main reason for me, to buy these, was the record function.I didnāt need to put the playalongs on speaker and a second device to record myself. This was so great. Iām really sad and disappointed. Why?
Does Not Work
The app does not work and you cannot report a problem or open app support either. Nothing will play or record so it is completely dead and I feel like I just got scammed out of my ten dollars. Very dissatisfied!

This great app is broken
The latest iOS versions have broken this stellar app. It is an awesome and great sounding, with some truly wonderful musicians, but it is broken and hopefully will be fixed
Would rate even lower
Does not work, version 1 or 2. Really a bummer, donāt waste your money.

now I bought a new IPhone 14, and the songs wonāt play anymore. Very disappointing!
Has Only 10 Songs You Never Heard of
Only has 10 songs. What a rip. Jazz essentials ... Not even close. This guy is ripping off other musicians. He should be ashamed of himself!
Great learning system.
I am a lifelong drummer, rock, funk, country. Finally at 50 I am finally learning to swing! This has been fantastic accompaniment tool to develop my play!

I'm not a pro musician but I'm in love with this app. Very easy to use. Recording is very helpful to check your progress.
Waste of money
Not sure who wrote the favorable reviews but this is NOT worth the money. A lot better apps out there for less. If it had been $2.99 maybe.
Where's the melody line?
This is a very nice production from three top musicians that can be found on many records in my collection. And to get out the guitar and play along it is perfect.
But then, I've been starting to learn the drums lately. So rather than have a full rhythm section I'd want to mute the drums and play along to a band, including someone playing the melody. But that's missing. Therefore in my view this is an app, that is perfect for a soloist, but could be expanded on by providing just one more track. That would make it five stars for anyone playing in the rhythm section too.

I am a professional Jazz drummer. I literally just played a gig with Darek Oles. So let me make it clear, that at any level of musicianship, this is an AMAZING practice/warmup tool! Just tuning your time to the click on a daily basis is a critical discipline for being a good listener while you perform. With this tool, I get that, but I can warm up with my virtual version of my friend Darek, with or without click, at each tempo and style. This will be a must have for all my students.

The last reviewer must have been confused by the titles of the songs in this app because these are undeniably the most important tunes for a jazz musician to know: Blues, Rhythm Changes, All the Things You Are, Autumn Leaves, Stella by Starlight and So What. They have been cleverly renamed, presumably to avoid copyright issues.
I use this app when I teach jazz piano - beginning and intermediate improvisers NEED to know these songs. They are staples of the jazz repertoire.
I love the mixer feature - an element of control you won't get from Aebersolds.
