Eset Home Premium VPN
Watch out! Eset is willing to sell you as many licenses as you need for Eset Home Premium, but limits their VPN inclusion in the deal to just (3) *read the fine print.
This is ridiculous! If you buy a license for a version with a VPN, every license should be covered, I bought (4). I worked with their support on this issue to no avail, just got quoted their “policy” and offered an upgrade for $168 to get Ultimate and have more VPN licenses available to match my original purchase qty. I have use Eset at home and specified it in work environments, working as an IT professional for over 20 years. I will not continue to do so or recommend it to my friends and professional peers any longer. Not sure what the rationale was behind making this a policy, but it signals “go find a better vendor somewhere else” to me.

Protcol doesnt work after update
Ios app cant connect to ipsec but support gave me work around to use another protocol to connect
Keeps disconnecting
Not sure why but this keeps disconnecting. Only when I click the app it reconnects. Then it silently disconnects.
VPN Issue Fixed
VPN stopped working again. I uninstalled the app and then, reinstalled it. Then, I changed the internet port at the bottom of the start screen for ESET VPN to 443. Now, it’s working again. Others may need to select a different port for theirs to work.
Broke after update
After most recent update of late May 2026. IKEv2 protocol stopped working, constantly requiring password of Subscription…. Wth….. fine, switching to UDP and TCP and Stealth and what not…. They work intermittently and varied among different servers….. Reinstalled ios app then re-activated subscription on ESET home and on ios device to no avail…. What humbug is this….

iPad & iPhone apps don’t work anymore. Updated to latest version.
Problematic
I am going to need to uninstall this. It prevents access to all kinds of ordinary websites and seems to make on line shopping really hard. I keep getting error messages about not delivering to Singapore (or wherever) and BBC sounds doesn’t like it either! Not an improvement to my life.

I just put ESET on my cell phone also, and it gives me peace of mind to know that I’m protected against people who are hacking our information.
