eSOMS Clearance

The eSOMS Mobile Clearance is an integral part of the Electronic Shift Operations Management System (eSOMS), designed to enhance the efficiency and safety of plant operations. It focuses on reducing the use of paper in the tagging and walkdown process by integrating with eSOMS, thereby streamlining operations and improving data accuracy. Mobile Clearance synchronizes Clearance tagout data. The Clearance process is a method of using Equipment tags to establish and remove safe boundary work areas. Tagouts are a set of Equipment Tags that you attach and later remove from Equipment, in order to indicate the Equipment's current operational status. Clearances are simply electronic 'paperwork' that identifies which Tags are included in a Tagout and provides signature controls (also known as tag verification levels) throughout the process.
