Dark mode still unsupported
Unfortunately 2 years later and dark mode is still unsupported. I had thought at first glance the app was entirely broken because it appears so strange with dark mode on, but that was not the case. You need to turn dark mode off on you phone to use. Will try to reach out to developers to try to help them to push a fix.
