Has been my favorite reliable global music streaming app!

I use this daily. It’s rock solid and extremely well designed and developed. Love it. Tons of live music stations from all genres to add to your favs list. They got shoegaze, rock, soul, classical, chill hop, jazz, indie, you name it! One of my fav daily use Mac apps. Also has a cool little menu bar mini player. Recommended!

Fantastic radio app, centerpiece of my music discovery these days

It just does what it says it does, extremely well. I use it to play my favorite radio stations and find new ones. UI is great, sound quality is great on high-quality feeds. Recently I’ve been using it on tvOS, which for me is hooked up to a pretty good amp/speaker system, and it’s a great way to listen to music. And in this day and age, it’s sometimes best to discover music through people (DJs) as opposed to just algorithms. One can also use AI to find radio stations that fit your interests, and import them to this app en masse. Keep up the great work!

Très bonne appli, j’apprécie beaucoup la souplesse d’ajouter des radios personnalisées et le fait que la version Watch soit indépendante de la version iPhone.
Cependant, je la trouve pas très fiable quand le téléphone est verrouillé, quand le son est diffusé en AirPlay ou avec CarPlay (elle peut crash toutes les 15 minutes ou pas du tout sans raisons).
Je vais continuer à l’utiliser mais ai encore du mal à pleinement lui faire confiance pour ce qu’elle est censé faire.

Dump TuneIn - This is Better

I’ve been using TuneIn for probably 15 years. This is so much better on many levels.

No upsells
No tracking
Much better metadata/album art
CarPlay works perfectly
Robust directory of global stations.
Easy to add custom stations

Station logos can be a bit wonky - the app seems to randomly pull image based on keywords in the metadata (news story about birds shows an image of birds).

Be great if a future update allowed you to paste in your own station image rather than choosing from the rather bizarre library built into the app.

Excellent work from the developer. Really excited to continue to use this for a long time.

Thank you for the kind reviews. As for your feedback about the cover for stations. The application will use the cover that stations may have or you can set your own. But indeed if there’s metadata, the application will try to match a song cover based on the metadata. I think that the correct solution would be to have an option for stations to not to treat their metadata as song names (and then try to find an album cover). Similar to how Shazam can be disabled, but the regular metadata can’t be disabled this way. I’ll file a ticket for this

Regarding your issue with constantly restoring purchases: Eter does a lot to mitigate this issue and we see less of that now but still see interference from VPN apps or some apps that try to block/filter internet traffic. Do you happen to use any of these kind of apps? If you prefer, it would be better to contact our support directly at support@apparentsoft.com. The developer is gong to look into this issue again, regardless.

Ainsi que la station radio RMC qui plante 1 à 2 secondes à répétition…

Merci pour vos aimables mots au sujet d’Eter ! Eter n’affiche pas de publicité (ni dans la version gratuite, ni dans la version payante de l’app). Les publicités que vous entendez au début du flux depuis certaines stations sont diffusées par ces stations elles-mêmes (elles sont insérées automatiquement par elles pour les nouvelles connexions). Eter ne peut rien faire de plus à ce sujet : ce sont les stations qui transmettent leurs contenus. Concernant la radio RMC, que voulez-vous dire par « ça plante » ? Pouvez-vous nous envoyer un e-mail à support@apparentsoft.com ou nous contacter via notre forum Discourse avec le lien de la station (vous pouvez le partager directement depuis l’app) ? — Thank you for the kind words about Eter! Eter doesn’t have its own ad (neither in free or paid versions of the app). The ads that you hear in the beginning of the steam from some stations are broadcast by the stations themselves (they are inserted automatically by them for new connections). There’s another Eter can do about it, it’s what the radio stations transmit. Regarding RMC radio, what do you mean it crashes? Can you send us a support email to support@apparentsoft.com or to our Discourse forum with the station link shared (you can share right from the app).

Nice app, but one major messy flaw.

This app offers several nice functionalities. However, it stores station image .png cache files directly in the Documents folder, resulting in excessive clutter. To enhance the user experience, it would be beneficial to allow users to specify a directory for saving these cache files. If this feature is implemented, I would be willing to purchase the application.

New favorite and go-to radio app

Update 5/8/26: increasing my rating to 5 ⭐️s based on the update that added previous and next station arrows as well as adding a mute button. Excellent update 👍

There is a lot to like about this app compared to similar apps.. It works with Carplay, you can manually search for favorites stations, sort stations and manually add stations using streaming URL’s.

What would make this 5 stars is (1) the addition of previous and next arrows on the now playing screen to easily switch between favorite stations, (2) being able to use saved photos to change station logos rather the using logo URL’s and (3) add a song progress bar so we know when a song will end and (4) add an equalizer.

Hi Godfadda57, Thanks for all this feedback! - Preview and Next to go to the next station in the list are coming in the next release. - I’ve added an issue to our backlog to be able to upload an image from one’s Photo Library. - Because Eter plays radio streams rather than individual songs, there’s no way for it to know when a song will end and thus a song progress bar is not possible. - I will also add a request for an equalizer to our backlog. That said, this is probably beyond the scope of this straightforward streaming app. But, who knows what the future will hold? Kinds regards, Susannah

Since the update, the volume slider doesn’t work, and the quick channel switch buttons don’t work.

Grid layout isn’t great.

Automatic light/dark to follow system is needed.

La base des radios est importante, mais vous pouvez rajouter celles que vous voulez. Vous pouvez facilement zapper de radio en radio et en cliquant sur les pochettes vous avez accès aux titres sur Spotify ou Apple Music. En plus il recommande ma radio préférée Morow.com. Dernière chose c’est compatible CarPlay, iPhone iPad, apple watch, apple TV et sur les Mac a partir du M1. Un must.

Great Radio App

I like that Eter is a basic radio streaming app that syncs my favourites between my Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. I had a memory leak when I first installed it on my mini Mac but it has not done it again after I restarted the app.

Memory Leaks

I like that Eter is a basic radio streaming app that syncs my favourites between my Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. However it has a memory leak on my Mac mini with Tahoe that will eat up all my ram causing issues with other apps.

Solid!

Pretty good radio streaming app seems on its way to being great. Playback is solid, the UI can be a little quirky. Sometimes the last station in my favorites is not clickable; the station artwork will default to random album covers/apple music links; and when you do click a station it often creates multiple “now playing” windows for it. Overall I like it as the backend is most important.

New Wide World of Radio

Eter is easy to use on both Mac and iDevices, and opens up a world of radio and fine music. The quality is great, and the app is very stable. I find it much more extensive and expansive in its reach than any other internet radio streaming app. It shows the streaming bandwidth and bit rate of each radio channel it finds, helping me to choose higher quality radio channels. The variety of radio and music genres it opens up is outstanding.

Without question, the best radio listening app on the planet.

A huge database to search preloaded stations, the ability to add your own streams, cross-device syncing and Shazam for stations with bad song ID’s - you can’t beat this app! My new daily radio driver.
