Fake.
Etsy is the opposite of what it purports to be. It’s saturated with mass produced Chinese tat being passed off as handmade using quality materials - not the case. Reviews are not fact checked so sellers manipulate their ratings. They have the slogan “keeping commerce human” except they have no customer services, only an AI bot which is woefully inadequate. Deleted my account, it’s no longer for small businesses and artists. Cesspool of scammers and cheap, nasty products. Avoid!

Difficult to pay
This process was complicated as it just kept returning me to the same page and requesting payment again. This occurred 3 times. It was a small amount but if the purchase had been more expensive I would have decided against purchase. I am not a beginner with tech!

Problem
The app won’t let me use an older version on my ipad. It requires 18.8 and I have 15.4. It says download a campatible version but then it goes toa screen with only one option and that is the new version. Very poor design.
Shipping shock
I wish I could’ve seen shipping cost/free shipping easier. Madr me scramble to redo days of shopping in just hours.

I turn to Etsy when I want unique quality goods. Also I recently ran into a scam vendor- this was th first is my many years of Etsy and Etsy mediated and reimbursed me. So great to do customer service w Etsy.

App is great, Notifications are awful
I love Etsy. The sellers are great and navigating the app is easy. That being said, the notifications are awful. They get stuck on the app even when everything has been cleared. You HAVE to review items you bought, and they need you to do it the day it was delivered. Yo, let me use my item for a little first. So pushy, back off me.
