Toller Euclidean Sequenzer
I wish it were possible to leave the randomiser activated, even in the sequencer, so that it continuously generates chords, notes and velocity. Perhaps with a chaos control.
Currently, the randomiser must always be triggered manually to generate MIDI data once.
Perhaps something will be added in the future. That would be great and would definitely enhance Euclidean.

Not working in GarageBand
App is not found as AUV3 in Garage Band. Isn’t loading as IAA as well.. So its completely useless for me. Unable to reach developer. Downloaded 4 other apps of his, they are fine, this one seems to glitchy.

Sadly, GarageBand doesn't support MIDI only AUv3's. I'm not sure why but I'm sure Apple have their reasons. You have to step up to Logic to be able to load these, but the app is compatible with most other DAWs.

Edit: I figured it out. It wasn't hard. Adding a fifth star - I love it!
Unfortunately, I can't find any instructions on how to integrate this with Logic Pro. The company's web site is offline and there's no help included with the app. YouTube hasn't been helpful either, showing only tutorials based on AUM. I don't use AUM (nothing against it, I own a copy, but it's not one of my regular tools). Please help!

I have it working in the logic daw, however it first fell to be recording MIDI notes to the logic session. How is this accomplished?
Need to control both events and steps
Wonderful app, and I was very pleased when the dev said they would look at exposing *both* the events and steps to midi control. (I’m still not sure why these weren’t the first two things to become mappable.) as it is it’s great, but by not allowing control of both main parameters it kind of has one arm tied behind its back, so to speak.

Great, just needs a small amount more controllability
I think this app is great, adds some great easy options for throwing a melody in quick, and really repays fiddling about with the music theory bit. I have 2 feature requests/questions though.1- Why can’t notes be tied across steps if the piano grid is there to hold that info? 2- Why can’t I assign a cc to the number of fts (like I can easily do with number of events)? There may be a logical reason why these are silly ideas but especially #2 would enhance jammability on this app greatly.

Really impressed how good this app is. NB there is also a really thorough set of tutorials made by the dev (PaulTheMusicMan), also useful for deciding whether to purchase.

Der Entwickler (meines Wissens Einzelperson) ist für mich meist ein wenig rustikal. Ist aber einfach mein Gefühl beim Bedienen der GUI, denn ich bevorzuge übersichtlich/minimal.
Aber trotz dieser Geschmacksdifferenz muss ich Euclidean 5 Sterne geben! Einfach genial mit den unterschiedlichen Möglichkeiten, die eröffnet werden - z.b. Akkorde/chords über die Pianorolle im unteren („versteckten“) Teil der App.
Hier liegt denke ich auch die Crux bei der letzten schlechten Bewertung. Auch ich rannte in mein „Verderben“ und änderte die Tonhöhe einer Lane/eines Channels, es kam trotzdem kein Mucks aus dem Drumcomputer - das liegt daran, dass wenn im oberen Teil von Euclidean die Tonhöhe auf die richtige Note gesetzt wird, schreibt es in der Pianoroll Ereignisse. Die Pianoroll-Ereignisse/Noten werden bevorzugt verwendet und wenn z.b. ein drumcomputer angesteuert werden soll müssen diese pianoroll-Ereignisse gelöscht werden! Danach funktioniert der neu gesetzte Notenwert! Bitte beachten, dass es natürlich pro Channel unterschiedliche Pianorolls gibt.

One of the best inspirational sequencer out there, especially if your into Berlin School electronic or any kind of electronic music.
Not the simplest to work out but also not that difficult. Well worth putting the effort in.

wirklich gut…
… nur ein problem: die ausgänge für midi und port werden leider nicht mitgespeichert. und vor allem bei komplexeren kompositionen ist es ziemlich aufwendig diese nach dem laden immer wierder neu eingeben zu müssen.

…but on my first tryout I stepped into a major problem (host is cubasis, most recent version): when you transpose notes of a lane (up/down arrow) and then increase the events count of that lane the then added notes are not transposed. Also there is no way to work around that, like reload the pattern.
It seems to be like a lot of developers of these interesting sequencer ideas are a little overambitous. You take money for your products and people like me are willing to pay for it - just as long as it works properly.

Too easy to mess up patterns !! Randomize button should reveal settings not randomize everything your working on.
Clearly some real musicians need to help the creators of this with some workflow ideas
Fix the randomize button to ONLY pull up the settings… otherwise the default randomize breaks all your hard work

There is a multi-level undo which you can use to step back through previous randomizations. You get to choose which elements to randomize, its not re-creating the whole band/bands if the options are setup correctly.

I love this app (well done Paul) I’ve had more fun with this than any other midi generator in AUM. I’m a guitarist, so not a brilliant keyboard player. As such I’ve been using the basic chord function in KB-1 to change everything on the fly and it works a treat.
The incarnations of this app are infinite and I can spend hours tinkering. Just remember to save something when you like it before clicking generate.

One of best of its kind
I’ve got a soft spot for Euclidean sequencers and this one is right there with some of the most capable that I have tried over the past couple of years.
Despite the wealth of features that it offers, it is still very intuitive to use.
If global transposition is added in a future update, then this app will be worth five stars.

A Must Have...
Yet another great app from Paul at 4Pockets. This step sequencer covers both Euclidean and standard (non Euclidean) sequencing. So much control, so much potential for randomisation. Money well spent.

Seems perfect with room for more controls
For what it is, it’s worked well and sounded in the grid but able to sound far out in a way… I have never tried 4 different synths at once though. I also hope some more midi madness type effecting is welcome, hails!
