Non-intuitive Graphics and no Manual
I’ll likely get a different charger just to obtain an app with meaningful data, vs. unclear, alien symbology.
You had one job.
Our Juicebox used to do this. But now, it only occasionally does so. Often it fails. Again and again. For months.
It charges when it is 4x the price and doesnt charge when it’s 1x the price.
If fails comically. The main screen will literally say that it’s waiting until the 11 pm time of use period… while at the same time showing in green that it is charging right now.
You can power cycle the Juicebox and delete and re-establish the profile until you are blue in the face. It sometimes works for a few days but then fails all over again.
The net result is you can’t plug it in when you get home and trust it to do its thing. It’s liable to start charging early and cost you peak prices on electricity. You have to babysit it, setting alarms at night to plug it in and double check that it’s charging.
Enel X, which bought Juicebox years ago simply does not have its act together as its steward. They took an excellent product and made it fail at its one job.
And support? Friendly, slow and unhelpful. They just don’t fix the problem.
Find another EVSE.
App is a complete failure
This glitch has caused the box to fail to charge twice this week. It is suppose to charge in the evening but in the morning on multiple occasions we have a dead car (low battery) do to the failure of the Juicebox and no way to make it charge because I can’t log into the app.
I am beyond frustrated with the product (Juicebox) because it fails to charge my car and the app that is a complete failure!
No issues, good info
Seems Okay For Now
It’s a dumb charger
Worse with each update?
JuiceNet not new app
works fine
Do not believe online reviews
The app is virtually non-functional. Their server is unavailable most days of the month and the app does not respond. I opted for this charger over others, since it was so highly rated online. Now I’m convinced the online reviews are simply paid advertisements because there is no way someone who actually uses it would vouch for it. Stay away until they fix their buggy app and server.
Worst purchase in a while
Can’t launch the app unless you have internet.
Porsche box works flawless but wanted a second station setup.
Stable app but mostly useless
1. No history. There is no history at all so there is no way to know when you charged last or even why it may have stopped charging (e.g. finished, failed, interrupted, etc). The lack of history also makes it difficult to measure long term charging performance.
2. No account details. Wondering what email address you used to login to the app? Sorry, not gonna tell you. Can’t change any account info in the app either.
3. Notifications offer limited information and no technical info. For example it should tell you how long it was charging before it stopped. The message should also show how much of a total charge did it provided when stopped. If interrupted/stopped before done the message should say why (eg failure, user stopped, etc)
I can’t get the app to work
Buggy and no longer supported
Poor quality software
Also, be aware that there is no way to change settings on the EVSE without an internet connection. There is no way to use ad hoc WiFi to change settings—only set WiFi settings.
