Closes on temperature set
Just updated my application and wish I hadn’t. Perfect just when I was gonna use it and monitor it in the kitchen while I’m preparing the rest of my Thanksgiving meal. The app used to work perfectly now when you go to set the temperature it just force closes the app and you can’t set the temperature total garbage. If I could give this zero stars, I would.

So far so good…kind of
I have the ceramic egg. And overall the product is fine. This is more of a feature request for the app/egg relationship than a review. Setup was a breeze and it’s very strait forward. One thing where the app is “meh” in my opinion is the fact that you can’t do anything unless it’s connected. In other apps one can find settings, prior cooks (temp and duration along with notes), and recipes all without pairing. Similar to the MEATER+ ecosystem, the functionality to bridge connections via a Bluetooth connected device through wifi would be nice and is lacking for an overall “wow” in my case. (Egg connected to app on iPad, which is closer to the grill and then the app using the iPads wifi, integrating into a cloud or additional app/device’s wifi connection to extend range). I had a small flare up the other day- no biggie I was there watching it. However the app did not alert me. To be fair, whenever I change the temp up on the app, for some reason I get an alert saying temp is declining (when it in actuality is going up), so I know there is capability to alert and this is concerning considering the safety implications of someone not knowing there’s a fire on the patio. Not sure if that’s a controller issue or the app. Overall though, I realize I may be a little more critical, however the bare bones functionality gets the job done.
