Look before you buy…
Was a great grill, the. They gave up on us and decided to call the new grills ‘2.0’…. Ooooh, ahhhh. Thanks for forgetting those who helped you get going.
Horrid app
Used to work. Stopped about 6 months ago with zero reason and no updates from GMG. Did they get bought out by private equity, because customers come last it would seem.
Connection
The grill continues to fail to connect to the app, even after I have updated the firmware and connected to the grill WiFi. It doesn’t matter if I’m on either side of it or right on top of it. When it will connect, I can’t travel 5feet away from it, or else the connection fails, then I’m back to square one trying to connect again.

Disappointed
I bought my GMG a couple years ago, awesome unit but I honestly would of not bought it if I new the app was so aweful on apple devices, it’s never worked right, looses connection and is awful
Very bad app
The app is not user friendly. When you close the app it disconnects from the grill. You can’t easily save recipes. You can’t change the amount of smoke you can’t set the grill to understand the outside temp versus the inside temp. They give you a slider that says cold warm and hot and you can “set the temp” that’s way but it does nothing. The grill is terrible and cheaply made and the app is a complete afterthought. Zero effort went into this app.
