Musical celebration of life
I was looking for a way to capture a celebration of life for a dear friend, and I’m so happy that I was able to find and use EventLive to do that. The platform is extremely easy to use, and, with a good contingent of friends in both California and Virginia, it allowed so many folks that couldn’t attend in person to share the experience. Many of them tuned in live, and as many or more connected later to watch the recording. In addition to the memorial service, we were also able to capture the beautiful musical celebration that followed. And, we now have that to go back to and enjoy again and again.

Worked for 10 minutes
Attempted a livestream for my brothers funeral as friends and family weren’t all able to make it. Got 10 minutes in and the livestream stopped and never tried to reconnect or function. No other issues it just stopped working even though I had full service and every time I looked it showed good signal. IF you decide to risk it you should probably make sure you have somebody available to “babysit”.

Funeral
My invited guests and I had a great experience live streaming & recording a funeral. I was able to load a link on the event page to our fave photos in a Google album, customize text welcoming folks to the site and use the app’s Test Live and invite guests feature. I was so glad to have purchased the app two weeks in advance of the event so that I could learn to use it. Finding tutorials was not intuitive for me, but email links from Julia and Finn were very helpful.
