Best app ever
I have used audible for 6 years, this is better. Hands down.
Have loved Everand but…
I have been using Everand on and off for a long while and have absolutely been a fan until the new subscription plan and now I’m looking else where as the unlocks have deterred me from using the app.
I would like to listen to several book but I can’t.
I’m always happy to pay more money for a decent subscription but I’m not happy to pay for the best subscription and unable to access what I want freely.

Think twice before getting this app
I had the legacy account and spoke to someone by phone months ago and was told to take it off auto renewal because I was contemplating the new upgraded account. I was going back-and-forth in many emails because you CANNOT speak to anyone by phone anymore and missed renewing my legacy account by a few hours. I was told previously that it expired on the 28th when it was actually a 27th so when I went to renew it on the 28th, I was too late. With the legacy account that they no longer offer, you had unlimited books per month, except for some that you were not able to read unless you had the upgraded plan. With these new plans, you pay more and get only three or five books to read per month depending on the plan you choose. I was under the impression that the unlocked books you were allowed per month were the ones that would not have been available with the legacy plan. There are u limited books available but they are older books. But for those that are thinking about getting this app you lose every book you’ve Read or saved if you cancel. Out of all the reading apps I have this one used to be my favorite but no more.

Offline weary
I loved Scribd and I am trying to love Everand. Being that a lot of my life is without WiFi or cell signals, it is frustrating that even what I have downloaded is not accessible without a signal. On a plane? Off grid? Power company burn your town down cuz you live in California which means cell towers and infrastructure are taking way too long to replace or repair? Sorry no books for you. No netflix, no tv, I just want to read!!!
Update 05/27/2024 open app to a no signal error message when connected to WiFi.
09/10/26 opening app takes several minutes before the saved library loads. Downloaded titles may not appear without WiFi signal. You have to start a book before going in to airplane mode or your flight will be without the expected story. Off grid camping or travel, out of luck.

They sell your email and personal information to marketing companies
Make sure you use a spam email address and don’t give them your home address or birthday. I’m getting a good amount of spam. When I unsubscribed, I found out they had my date of birth and home address.
Great value and selections
It has such a wonderful array of options and I love being able to book mark “save” titles before I commit to them. I also love that my Scribd and Everand selections are all in one place. But I say 3 stars only because it crashes or freezes every single time I open the app.
It’s like going back to the days when you couldn’t touch your computer while it was loading or it would panic! Yesterday I was driving and had to keep closing and reopening the app at least 6 times before it would load properly!
That’s such a huge frustration and it’s been happening for years and gotten worse. I will say it rarely crashes while I’m reading so once I’m in I’m good lol but good luck switching between titles…Russian roulette there.

I can’t even sign in
I can’t even sign in to start using the app… it just keeps redirecting me back and forth between scribd and everand.com. Tried deleting the app to restart, clearing the cache, restarting my phone, changed some phone songs even, and still nothing. Hopefully customer support will respond to my email to help me because I just started a free trial for 30 days and I can’t even use it for the first day.

Headaches to Cancel
shockingly, in 2026 they’re still companies like this that prevents you from canceling a subscription online. They’ve disabled the ability on both website in the app. Note: My subscription was Paused while trying to Cancel.
It’s not great
I hate this app, the only good thing about it is the 3 titles a month. If I didn’t already have my favorite audio books on here I wouldn’t waste my money on it. It will not play titles when you don’t have service even when you have them downloaded. I listen to books on my 45 minute drive to and from work and there’s many spots without service. If I forget to start playing a book while I have wifi at home it takes so long for it to load and play something.

No longer worth it
Very disappointed in the service. Used to have a lot more available in the library with a subscription and now everything needs to be unlocked.

Can’t keep titles if you cancel?
I had canceled my membership, but downloaded titles that I paid for and when the membership ended, I was no longer able to listen to the titles I had downloaded… So I don’t know if this was a fluke what happened or if this is something where you pay for a service but you don’t actually get to keep what you’re downloading? Even with Audible, you can keep the books after you’re done using the service. I don’t understand or agree with that. If this is not how it’s supposed to be, please Everand message me and let me know… So I had to renew my subscription, but lost my Fable discount just finished the books I was listening to.
I ended up chatting with the AI bought that they have instead of a real human, it is confirmed that you pay for this in these unlocks, but you don’t own the books. I will be canceling my membership. I will do my best to listen to all of the books I “ purchased” before the subscription ends and I will be advising people not to use this service. That’s honestly absolute trash. What is the point in this app? May as well go back to Audible or I can keep my books after using my credits.

Not worth the money
If I spend money for a subscription to purchase books I shouldn’t lose access to already purchased books when my subscription is canceled. Not worth your money, don’t fall for a scam.
Trial
So, Tmobile has a 90 trial but when I signed up I only got 30 days. No humans available to fix the issue. Im just gonna pass honestly. Im not waiting 48 hours to fix this
Unserious
The first book I previewed bugged out the app, the pages wouldn't flip and I couldn't go back without closing and reopening. The second book I searched for (DCC) apparently isn't available. Cancelled subscription. For the cost, it makes 0 sense to use this service.
Impossible to update/change payment method
It’s so hard to update/change anything. And you can’t continue to listen to what you’ve unlocked if you don’t pay. At least with audible you can listen to what you’ve unlocked spent your money on even after you stop paying.

I had a brief problem with this app after I updated it. When I opened the app, the screen was just black. Later that day it was fine. I've updated my review to reflect this.

App issues
I’m hoping this will catch some attention there a serious problem recently now when I’m in a audiobook and I stop listening the app doesn’t save where I left off now I’m having to keep remembering where I left off and I didn’t have to do that before and it’s effecting my progress on fable too this is pretty inconvenient

Unhappy
I unsubscribed and lost access to the book I had unlocked immediately although there were 29 days left in my subscription. This doesn’t happen with audible. Also can only play x1.2 or 1.5 speed- no in between
Don't Update
I had no problem with this app until I updated it this morning. Now I get nothing but a black screen. Hope they fix this quickly.
