Lost bookmark

The app frequently loses your spot in the book you’re in and their customer services refuses to fix the problem.

Glitches

Love that unlocks roll over now. Absolutely loathe that the app glitches and restarts the book multiple times a day. I’ve tried reinstalling the app and everything with no improvement

Ok but…

The app is ok except for two things I’ve noted.
1. Downloading is very slow.
2. The maximum font size in ebooks is far too small for us visually impaired folk. It’s a struggle to read an ebook in this app for me. Kindle is way better with its font size range at this time.

Glitchy App & Caps on Titles

I was very excited to try this app. I’m an avid reader and listener of audiobooks. They have a great selection. However, I feel that for $30 a month, it is not worth it. The app randomly shuts down or looses your place in an audiobook. Having to continuously find my place in my book is time consuming and frustrating. I’m finishing out the books I had already started and will be cancelling my subscription after that. Overpriced and glitchy.

Issues

Lately every time I use this app when I go back to listen it starts the book over at the beginning. Absolutely infuriating. I thought it was something I was doing wrong but it keeps happening. Some other goofy quirks that annoy me too before this

Keeps losing my place

The latest version keeps losing my place, and restarting at the beginning.

playback restarts from the beginning

Dear Development Team,

I buy am experiencing a recurring issue with the app that has become quite frustrating.

Every other time I open an audiobook, playback restarts from the beginning instead of resuming from where I last stopped listening. As a result, I have to manually search for my previous location in the book, which can be time-consuming and inconvenient.

It seems that the app is not consistently saving or restoring my listening progress. Could you please investigate this issue and consider improving the resume-playback functionality?

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a fix in a future update.

One month later: if anything problem just got worse, it is concisely restarting books to the beginning😒

Deceptive

I was under the impression I would still have access to my books I've paid for even after my subscription ends. That is not true. I went to read my book and the system said I needed an active subscription to read it. That is not better than audible AT ALL. It's honestly false advertisment and I would never recommend. I have 3 books I paid $16.99 for my credits for and can't read them. Now I need to rebuy them elsewhere. Very upset.

HORRIBLE

I signed up for the trial and decided about a week in to cancel. They canceled the rest of my trial and I no longer have access to the book I unlocked. Use Audible as they at least let you keep your books. I do not recommend this service at all!

so many issues with app

This app has given me so so many issues I’m at the point where I’m just trying to clear out my credits before I remove this forever. I’ve had issues with titles not opening. I’ve had issues with my place not being saved. I’ve had issues with audiobooks I used credits on not showing up. Every. single. time. they ask me “did you restart your phone?”. Why don’t you all restart and get new developers who can develop an audiobook app that actually works???

Love the books, hate the glitches

I love having access to so many audiobooks, especially since I go through them so quickly. The number of titles is awesome. However, I encountered on multiple occasions that the audiobook would just restart from the beginning without warning. I started memorizing the chapter number I was on but even this wasn’t helpful because the chapter labels through the app were incorrect. Very frustrating and made me want to end subscription. I’ll see if the update fixes any of the bugs before canceling.

Audiobook Restarts

The issue that keeps causing audiobooks to restart really needs to be fixed. It’s incredibly irritating. I’ve been using the app for a while now and this is a recent issue, like within the last few months. But it’s enough to make me want to stop using the app altogether if I’m being honest. To the developers, please get it handled.

Buggy app

I love the audiobooks, but there seems to be almost constant tech issues. I just updated the app and already 3 times just today my current audiobook has reset to the beginning and I have to hunt for my place again. Trying to speak with anyone is not going to happen, it’s all AI. If it keeps up, I’m done with this subscription and I’m finding something that actually works.

Worst audiobook app

I’ve been a subscriber for years but due to finances, I need to make cuts to the budget, so Everand has to go. However, I realized that ALL my unlocked books will go with it. What a terrible model! As much as I hate supporting Audible, you can keep your books you’ve spent your money on.

No Longer Worth the Subscription

I was an Everand subscriber for years because it offered something unique: a true subscription that encouraged discovery. I could browse, sample new authors, and read or listen without constantly calculating whether a book was “worth” spending a credit on.

The new unlock model completely changes that experience. At this point, Everand is essentially an Audible-style credit system, except you don’t actually own the books you unlock. If I can only access one or a few premium books each month, I’d rather buy them through Audible, where they remain in my library permanently.

I understand that licensing costs have changed, but this new model no longer offers enough value to justify the subscription. The service has lost what made it stand out from its competitors.

I’ll be cancelling my subscription and putting that money toward library memberships that include Hoopla and Libby instead. Those services provide a much better value for readers and listeners like me.

I truly hope Everand reconsiders its direction, because it used to be one of my favorite subscriptions.

Great app

The latest update seems to have fixed the issue of the book restarting. If that lasts then I’d rate the app 5 stars. My only complaint is that when I go to a book and read the description and click on “more” to read the whole description it doesn’t just expand the description, it opens in a whole new window. Then I have to find my place in the description or start reading it all over again. It just seems like an unnecessary and annoying extra step.

Greed took over

This app was one of my favourite apps I was listening to like 20 audiobooks a month and then they got greedy the books I did have already downloaded now cost don't waste your time

Loses your spot

Has a problem with loses your spot in your book. You’d better remember it bc it won’t.

limited book purchases

I want to use this app, especially since they have just allowed you to sync your reads with Fable but they only let you have five unlocks per month. You don’t even get an option to pay extra for more books.
Which i find silly.

even worse, the app seems to be bugged. I upgraded to the highest subscription which allows you to have five unlocks per month, but after only unlocking one book it tells me that I have no more unlocks remaining.

I did not want to have to go back to Apple Books since I really really wanted to sync with Fable, but it looks like Everand is a terrible limiting option.

Disgusted Customer

This app has one of the most anti-consumer policies I’ve come across.

I genuinely enjoyed using it and spent my own money unlocking multiple books. Then life got busy, and I didn’t have time to listen. Instead of continuing to pay for a subscription I wasn’t using, I paused the subscription assuming I could still access the books I’d already purchased.

Apparently not.

Requiring an active subscription just to listen to books you have already paid to unlock is absurd. Once I’ve paid for content, it should not be held hostage behind another monthly fee. This app has sadly not been so customer-friendly. It’s simply a cash grab.

Policies like this punish loyal customers who have already invested money in your platform. If you’re considering this app, be aware that “unlocking” a book doesn’t really mean you own access to it unless you keep paying. That is disappointing, misleading, and enough for me to take my business elsewhere.
