Too expensive

I did the free trial and would have loved to complete the program to give it a good chance, but it’s so expensive (almost $300 for 3 months if you live in Australia). It’s such a shame that these hypnotherapy apps are so costly. In my view, it really highlights the inequities in the healthcare system. People who are disadvantaged due low income or unemployment might really benefit from these apps if they were cheaper, as they often can’t afford to see specialists or pay for medications. It would be great if this app was a treatment option for women in this position.

Great support for sleep and hot flashes

Evia has been a very supportive tool to reduce my nighttime hot flashes. In just 2 weeks they have reduced in frequency and intensity. I’m much more comfortable at night and the hypnotherapy is very soothing. I highly recommend this app!

A Life Saver!

In my search to reduce hot flashes and night flashes I was researching all kinds of things. I wondered if hypnotherapy was helpful and it led me to this app. I’m so thankful because it worked. Within a few months I was back to myself. The results lasted for months. When my period stopped again (after 8 months ) the flashes returned. I subscribed again and within a month - flashes and night sweats are gone!

Helping hot flashes enormously

I felt great relief under hypnosis. Wonderful app!

Total scam and steal from you

I did the one week free trial and decided it wasn’t for me and ended the subscription before the deadline. I received an email from “Hanna” saying “it looks like you decided not to go ahead with a subscription“ however $139 was taken out of my bank account. I have written to “Hanna” which I now presume is an automated email 3 times requesting a refund with no response. I’ve written to customer support with no response and I’ve now written to the AI chat contact us. I doubt I will get a response and will most likely seek legal action as this is theft Atrocious customer service. I have never written a bad review in my life but do not want anyone else to be scammed.

Expensive but worth it

I’m on week three already but I’m noticing a difference. Already I’m waking up less at night, which was the primary reason I started using the app! I will report back once I’ve finished for a full update. As someone else wrote, it’s quite expensive, especially when you consider that menopause can last a decade and you’re paying so much for only 5 weeks, but it really does seem to help.

I wish there was a way to go back to the previous day to update your hot flash tracker. I often forget towards the end of the day to do so and can’t go back to update it the next day. This is one thing that could really help improve data tracking and I hope they consider implementing this functionality in an update.

Update: I’ve finished the program and can say that this works. My hot flashes and night sweats are barely noticeable now and when they do hit they don’t last long at all. I tried black cohosh, clonidine, and phytoestrogens — all of which did nothing OR caused more issues (clonidine), but Evia was brilliant. 10/10 would recommend! Changed my rating from 4/5 to 5/5 because even with the price and the inability to update your tracking it’s absolutely worth it.

Not worth £400 a year

Nice relaxing app but it made no difference to my hit flushes. And no way does it justify the price tag.

Not sure what went wrong

I signed up but it didn’t change the content at all. It also would allow me to input any of the tracking information. Gave up after two days.

Excellent app for sleep and hot flushes

This app is amazing. My hot flushes were terrible. I’ve been doing this app for 4 days and they are already dramatically improved. I do the hypnotherapy sessions before bed. They take my usual bedtime hot flush completely away and I sleep like a rock. When I wake at 3am with another giant hot flush I do the sleep session and again it takes the hot flush away and knocks me out. This app is amazing.

App doesn’t work on my iPhone

I couldn’t log my age or number if hot flashes … just a blank screen instead of some way of inputting a number. This definitely contributed to my irritability. :/

I could sleep through the night

I was struggling with hot flashes that were keeping me up at night. I was suffering tremendously from lack of sleep. My brain was not working properly. Then I found this app. Even though I still currently have hot flashes day and night, after using this app I was able to fall asleep again easily after each hot flash. I was able to regain much needed sleep and this helped the brain fog to go away. I’m only on day four using the app and I’m seeing the powerful effects of this app already. It feels miraculous because I was suffering so much. It helped me gain a sense of equilibrium.

Can’t put 0 in hot flash recording

I’ve written several times about this issue, but no one ever bothers to acknowledge me

Impressed

I was skeptical but do the maths. This really works, after 1 night i had 2 less hot flushes, (average was 6 a night) then it got better. Only been on the program for a week.
Saw it was $99 for the 3 months program & then find out that is in USD, not AUD, not happy! I am committed to reducing my night hot flushes down to zero, so am buying it.
It takes dedication to commit to the daily reading & hypnotherapy sessions.

So sad it didn’t work for me

I had such high hopes for this because I can’t be on HRT. I gave Evia 4 weeks and unfortunately saw no improvement. One of two things happened in each hypnotherapy session — I fell asleep or I got distracted, often by the accent of the recorded person, but sometimes just my mind wandering. I guess I’m not good at being hypnotized. The readings were occasionally good but mostly stuff I already knew. One bug in the system is that as soon as midnight hits you can’t record that day’s hot flashes, which means unless you add them on to the next day the record looks misleadingly low, as though you’re improving when you’re not. However the customer service was excellent and there was no problem getting my refund within the 30 days — hence the 2 stars.

Decent app...

...but it didn't work for me in any meaningful way. The app is pretty easy to navigate, but one real problem for me was that you can't modify your baseline hot flash symptom score, either at intervals OR with restarting the program. Also you can't enter your symptoms for the day after midnight of that day. I forgot to enter my symptoms several times and couldn't go back and enter them later. I presume that our de-identified data is being used for research purposes, so my data probably looks like I have had terrific success with this program for these reasons; however, I have not. I have never been "hypnotizable" and I guess I'm still not.

I was desperate to improve my sleep

I wanted to improve my sleep after I started having nightly hot flashes that kept me awake for several hours a night. I did not want to start any new medications. I was considering purchasing an expensive bed cooling device when I found Evia. Within 3 nights, my sleep was improved. At the end of week one, my hot flashes were reduced by 63%, and 73% by the end of week 2. During the third week, I started having 0 incidence of hot flashes in the night and also in the day time. I highly recommend using Evia if you are struggling. The sessions are pleasant and the results are fantastic.

Response from developer

Hi there – congratulations on your success with Evia! Your accomplishments are truly impressive, and we're thrilled to have been a part of your journey.

Can’t get past the voice

I think this is a great idea but the voice of the person doing the hypnotherapy is unnerving. I couldn’t get past it enough to relax.

Response from developer

Hi there, and thanks for the feedback. I'll be sure to pass it onto the team.

Not worth the expense

I am not happy with this app sadly, or the lack of communication via the team, as I emailed them a week ago and am still waiting for a response from someone. The app continually refers to night sweats and hot flushes when I have already said that I don’t get them as I’m on HRT. There are so many more aspects to the menopause, other than hot flushes, and even the ‘hypnotist’ session in the app is all about hot flushes. Therefore, I am disappointed. I want my money back and I’ve requested this but no one responds! I can’t even cancel my subscription in the App Store! This app is super expensive and not worth the money 🥲 I will have to instruct my bank to cancel any future payments.
