MUST HAVE APP
This app has literally saved my life. I was in such a dark place, and after joining, I feel things are starting to become clearer. It gave me numerous tools and resources, but most of all support and community, which you cannot put a price on. I am forever grateful for Evive.
High Tech Recovery
As technology improves , I feel like I want to keep it old school . When I do make the grade to the latest greatest , I am better off. This Evive app has made the recovery process different and better than other things I have tried in the past !
So many resources in one spot
I’ve never reviewed an app. Ever. But I’m here because Evive truly is a great tool for anyone struggling with a gambling addiction. I found myself really struggling in so many areas for the first few weeks of recovery. Finding help that works for you can be a difficult task. Evive offers a great deal of content to help with this process as well as resources that can aid in the recovery process. If you’ve made it to these reviews, I can confidently say you should definitely download the app.

Good App
I recommend Evive if you are trying to quit gambling or gamble less. It is good and the daily/weekly/overall tracking log is nice and lots of interesting educational info and lessons on it too. I wish it prompted me more with alerts would be my main critique.

Great tool for those who are choosing to quit gambling or wish to start their journey tracking their gambling behavior. The online community thread is great for supporting or replying to recovering gamblers and those in the thick of it.

The agony of it all
I have been gambling for almost 20 years-probably more. I am certain that it has been an ongoing salve to emotional wounds that I experienced that rocked my world, turned it upside down and made my life miserable.
Although it should not have been my sanctuary, it was. Gambling-slots-took me to a place where no one could get in to my realm. I blocked all feelings and fears and responsibilities and mindlessly gambled in this fantasy realm where everything was just peaches and cream. But it wasn’t.
Life has a way of catching up to us. The old saying, “We can run but we can’t hide,” is oh-so true. After thousands of dollars and a separation from my spouse for 10 years, I was in financial ruin and had alienated my family.
I finally realized through wonderful resources like Evive that I was only pouring salt into my emotional wounds and all of the gambling in the world could never bring my son back, who perished in a horrible car accident on October 21, 2000. I lost my son, but I realized I was throwing the rest of my family away as well. My agony had become their agony.
The Evive lessons I read opened my eyes to so many truths. Those lessons and other resources and testimonies made me realize I am NOT willing to subject my family nor myself to any more of my gambling misery.
To make a very long story short, my husband and I reunited and I filed bankruptcy. I can never recover the money I lost. I can live with that. Unfortunately, it is far more difficult to live with the loss of the precious time that could have been spent with my family and that I would have used to heal 20 years ago instead of now. But I am where I am.
The gambling industry- all of it-is tricky and sly. Those behind it know exactly how to hook you and keep you and will use every psychological trick in the book to do so because they are the ones making the money not us.
The only out is to stop and never look back. Seek help. Don’t be ashamed-for very long. That can drag us down. Acceptance is the first step to knowing we have a problem.
My journey to healing is just beginning. I signed up for counseling today and Evive is an amazing and powerful community that I plan to access regularly. I am new here, but I hope to continue for a long time. I hope and pray I have ongoing success in healing so I can be a beacon of light to those who are suffering the agony of it all right now. My hopes and prayers are for healing to all who are suffering.
