Doesn't work properly

cant save after editing the location of the images. wasting time and money.

Response from developer

Sorry to hear you had trouble editing the location of your photos. I would like to help you with this issue, but I would need some more information. Could you send me an email to metadataeditor_support@andrespiza.com?

Response from developer

Does not make clear it is a paid monthly or annual app

As above.. I deleted it now need to figure out how to remove it from purchases. The cost info only showed up after installation.

Crashes on Bulk Edit

Signed up for the Essential plan, but then whenever I try to bulk edit the date/time, the app crashes.

BAD

The app failed to accomplish what I wanted and even deduct money during the test period

Not intuitive

The app is difficult to figure out. Crashed when used after picking several files to edit.

Response from developer

I’m sorry you’ve had this issue. To help me fix the crash and make the app easier to use, could you please send me an email at metadataeditor_support@andrespiza.com with the details? Your feedback makes a big difference, and I really want to fix the crash and improve the parts of the app that may be confusing.

New update erased IPTC templates

Love the new features, but there seems to be two problems.

1. All my IPTC templates are gone. And, when I go to create a new one, it doesn’t save the info, it’s blank

2. The new files feature isn’t working. When I go to files and hit the plus, I can search my files app, but when I select an image it just brings me back to the empty files page.

Response from developer

First, thank you for your kind words, and I’m sorry you encountered some bugs. I was able to identify a problem with IPTC Templates, where they always appeared empty when editing. The issue was that the IPTC Editor was not displaying the content of the template. This has now been fixed, and I’ve sent an update to Apple, which should be available soon. Regarding the bug when editing files, I haven’t been able to reproduce the problem. Could you kindly send me an email through the app? When you do so, a file will be attached to the email containing information about what the app is doing internally, which can help me pinpoint the issue. To do this, open Metadata Editor > tap the settings button (top-left) > tap “Send feedback & Get help.” Please include a short message in the email so I know it’s from you. Thank you again!

Tertible

Not intuitive. And keeps asking you to upgrade to pro version for 6.99

Just charge for it on the app store

Bait and switch. Worthless.

8.5/10

I love how simple to use the app is for editing meta data on photos! Not to mention the extra options like ‘Delete Original after Copy’ to prevent the Original Meta Data from being visible to the iOS photos app still and being able to edit photos metadata in batches is a GOD SEND of a feature!

What’s preventing me from rating this app 10/10 is…what’s stopping you from adding the ability to save copies in HEIF/HEVC format? Does iOS force copies produced to get saved in JPEG regardless of the two format options chosen; [HEIF/HEVC] High Efficiency OR [JPEG/H.264] Most Compatible in the camera settings on the settings app?

Thank you again for this amazingly simple and easy to use editing app! ^^

Response from developer

Wish I could fully test

… but, the app is pretty much useless without a subscription. I realize the is a ‘trial period’; but, I been burned too much when I’ve cancelled a subscription ahead of time and got charged anyway. I just don’t take chances anymore in the app store.

More templates

I like the app and everything it does. Why not add the ability to set metadata templates also not just IPTC? I would love to save the same data to be reusable for make and model.

Response from developer

Well, until now nobody had asked for it and I did not think of doing it, but I can see how it makes sense to include some regular metadata fields too like Make and Model. I will work on this.

Scam

Can't do a single thing without sending them money.

Doesn’t say any photo info

This app shows the exact same photo data you already have and doesn’t tell you anything new

NoRealistic trial period

This is not a free app within app purchases. While it does give you very limited three day trial., You first have to pay to get access.

Personally, I don’t think I would use it often enough to warrant paying 10 bucks a year.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback! Metadata Editor is indeed a specialized app, so it’s understandable if it seems less practical when used only occasionally. For those times when you need it, you might consider subscribing for just a month. As for the trial period, we chose 3 days, believing it would be sufficient to test the app with a few images over a weekend. Could you share your thoughts on how a longer trial, such as 7 days, might better suit your needs? Your input would be invaluable 🙂. You can also send me your thoughts to metadataeditor_support@andrespiza.com

Good tools, but multi selection is unusable for more than 10-20 photos

Good tools, but multi selection is unusable for more than 10-20 photo. This really needs to be fixed to make this much more usable. I have over 4000 photos and it’s just not practical.
