What's New in Exit the Gungeon

2.1

November 13, 2020

Patch 2.1.0 contains two major features which dramatically impact gameplay. Both of these features were influenced by player feedback, and we’d appreciate further feedback moving forward. Arsenal Mode: a new toggleable game mode in which weapons will be available as loot as well as for purchase in shops. Any number of these weapons can be held in addition to the Blessed gun, and can be used at any time. These additional carried guns have limited ammunition, which can be replenished by finding ammo pickups (exclusively in Arsenal Mode). This mode was designed to be more reminiscent of Enter the Gungeon’s gun management. Shop Hubs: Bello’s shop has been expanded and now can be accessed twice per floor, allowing players more choice over when and how to spend their currency. This shop replaces the normal mid-floor room, in addition to its normal appearance after the boss. The shop has several doors to optional combat and NPC rooms that can be explored for loot or skipped. This should result in an overall increase in itemization for players who explore all rooms, as well as providing a source for weapon drops when playing in Arsenal Mode. Other New Features: A new optional boss, the Glocktopus A new NPC, the Ledge Goblin, and her minigame As is tradition, several new guns and items You can now pet the dog

A Great Game All Around

This game is very entertaining, and after having previously played Enter the Gungeon on a different device, I can conclude that y’all who made these games have a knack for puns. And I must respect you for it, as puns are my favorite thing. I wish I had more to say on this amazing game but I can’t remember much, I just like it, the designs of the enemies and characters, the play style, and the mechanics. Would recommend.

Great rougelike with some bugs

Black hole gun doesn’t pull in enemies like it does in the trailer
Something I would like is a minigame practice mode where you could play just desert golf, winchesters original game, and helmet kicko. Maybe have an arcade machine in the bar in underbreach unlock after you play all the games and unlock the bar (maybe make it a reference to the house of the gun dead while your at it)

Needs more guns

I was hoping that they would be an update or two after the game updated a year ago hoping something exciting would happen but the game needs more updates and new features so could you please try to add new features to the game and possibly try to add new characters or guns pls If you would add more guns and characters to the game pls here’s a trinket you should have this trinket allows you to wield two of the same gun you wield instead of one

Nearly perfect, just one or two minor bugs

This game is great and I have had plenty of fun with it in the little under a month I’ve had it. I would recommend it to anyone interested in downloading it, as you can easily log multiple hours in it on the go or at home. I only have two problems with it: one: the untitled gun seems to glitch out sometimes and just not fire, making you have to wait for the gun to change while dodging bullets. Two: I believe the achievement for getting bello’s stools might be impossible on my current save file. Despite having 36+ hours on that file and having nearly every other achievement, I haven’t been able to get him to trigger the dialogue to initiate his ‘side quest.’ Other than those two things the game is practically perfect and I have no other complaints.

This game is super fun.. if i could keep my progress

I am a huge fan of rouge-like games. I have beaten ENTER the gungeon multiple times and different devices. So you can imagine how excited i was to play another gungeon themed game. I was intrigued by the 2D style of this game. When i originally played it my first thoughts were “this game is really easy” which is fine because there is a hard mode. but… i’ve noticed of late that if i ever don't fully finish an entire run and tab out of the game for like 20-30 mins, I will loose the ENTIRE progress of that run only keeping the credits (i think). I understand that this game is shorter and you can beat it pretty quick but honestly, It gets super repetitive, even with all the character options, they all just feel like reskins of eachother. Also the hat collectibles are more of just big distractions and dont add alot to the game (even though it takes multiple runs to even get a single hat sometimes). I dont see these issues ever getting fixed either because its just the game….

Where is the save and quit button? why are the hats so annoying? why is the game so easy/short. It just seems like a throw away game.
