To say finding an app to help me keep track of my many animalsā diverse maintenance schedules as a broke college student with ADHD was difficult, is a gross understatement. Many of the popular apps made you pay per animal or lacked the variety of species I keep. ExotiKeeper is literally a GAME CHANGER!!! š¤© The app makes it SUPER EASY to keep records for all of the things that I could possibly need. I will say that there was a learning curve with the notifications, but after some adjusting, I think Iāve got it down. 11/10 app and definitely recommend for anybody who keeps exotic pets!! š

Exactly what I needed
I have been using this app for a year now to keep 7 tarantulas. Iām able to track what I need and see what I need right away. I had tried a few other apps but they didnāt work as well and pen and paper/notes arenāt for me.
Some suggestions I would have is
- Ability to sort listed information (last fed, watered, molted, rehoused) how youād like
- Ability to hide listed information for specific pets instead of all or none
- Track size information (I donāt believe that is a feature yet)
Perhaps some of these features arenāt present to keep the app running smoothly but that is just something Iād like to see
Some suggestions I would have is
- Ability to sort listed information (last fed, watered, molted, rehoused) how youād like
- Ability to hide listed information for specific pets instead of all or none
- Track size information (I donāt believe that is a feature yet)
Perhaps some of these features arenāt present to keep the app running smoothly but that is just something Iād like to see

Love this app!!
This app is amazing! Its super detailed and allows me to add all my animals my spiders, fish, reptiles, amphibians and I was pleasantly surprised I was even able to add my bunnies to keep track of their stuff. I like how customizable it is and allows me to take away categories I'm not using and put everything in the format I want. Love that I get to add picture for each pet. This app helps me remember all my pets birthdays and how long I've had them also reminds me when I need to do things. Its been helping me learn all my animals scientific names to wich is rlly cool. The only think I don't like is that I can't pay for it to be ad free. Atleast I don't think I can play lmk if I can and just missed it lol! Great app!!!

Awesome husbandry tracker!
Really easy to use, love how it has the specific husbandry readings for a variety of species. As an aquarist, itās incredibly helpful to keep track of water changes, feedings, water parameters, filter changes for multiple aquariums! Same goes for my reptiles. I appreciate how quickly I can see all the important info on my snakes at a glance! It even has clear reminders and the layout is pretty straightforward and easy to navigate. The ads are minimal and in no way interfere with my husbandry tracking. Iāve tried other apps and even though they had more bells and whistles (graphs and stuff), they were incredibly glitchy and many donāt have any options for reminders/notifications or their reminders simply donāt work. This app so far has been perfect for my needs, and itās been such a great help in keeping my pets happy and well! If you are someone who keeps multiple species, or various animals of the same species, I highly recommend this app!

This is fantastic!
Such a great way to track everything. I love how customizable it is. Itās so detailed! I had fun inputting some of my tarantulas last night when I downloaded it. Itās so easy to forget when you last fed or when they last molted. This is a perfect way to track husbandry choices and behaviors. I like that I can input my own photos and that jumpers are included. Absolutely fantastic asset to any keeper.

Exceptional!
This is everything Iāve ever wanted in an app. I keep reptiles, a snake, several insects and other inverts! This helps me keep everything so organized and in one place, such a life saver! I do wish there was a better reminder/alarm system. I still give it 5 stars though, because itās such a great app! š¤š¤

Great app! I have multiple Tās and other spiders. Itās a must have for any spider owner. It keeps all the info you need in one helpful place.
Absolutely fabulous!!!
Amazing app!! I have hermit crabs so I needed a molt tracker app to be customizable, because most of the ones you find are exclusively for reptiles or arachnids. This app makes things SO easy to document things!! I started by keeping just an old fashioned written journal, and then graduated to entering most of that information into Exotikeeper and it just brings me so much joy how everything is so neat and tidy and organized and laid out in front of me now. And the extra math functions are great, like the line graph plotting for the molt tracker feature. And itās also really cute, or at least Iāve been able to customize mine to be all cute and that makes me happy. Only criticism is that there is definitely a lot going on, a lot of icons/labels and features/functions to figure out, it gets a little overwhelming clicking away trying to figure out what everything does, and the anxiety associated with all that. And frankly my opinion comes from the fact that I personally donāt really need/use most of the functions provided, given the hermit crabs donāt require nearly as much documentation as some arachnids/reptiles and given that the app is geared more towards those groups in the first place. But all in all, I donāt really consider that last part to be a legitimate complaint anyway. Itās a great app! Go for it! š

Very good exotics tracker app!
Iāve been using this app for 6-7 months and Iām still a fan!
So many features. The amount of features is almost overwhelming but itās very easy to use.
Data can be backed up and there are multiple options for that. Custom fields. Category specific settings. Layout options. Text size options. Space saving options. Custom reminders. The list goes on!
Alerts donāt really pop up on their own (iPhone user), but for me, thatās not a problem. Iāve just added opening the app to my nightly wellness check routine and I can see at-a-glance who needs what. Simple. I keep the app in the bar at the bottom of my phone for easy access.
Plus, no hidden costs. Unobtrusive ads that can be paused for several days by watching one, short video. I do kiiiind of wish there was an option to just pay to remove them entirely. But I canāt complain about the current setupā¦ Most other apps sneak ridiculous, even prohibitively costly expenses in.
Overall, I really like this app. Thereās a flashier one available that got a lot of hype recently. I like this one better. Itās FAR more versatile. There are still a few quirks here and there, but Iām confident those will get worked out in time and they donāt, in my opinion, take away from the usefulness of the app.

Absolutely love this app!!
Was looking for something to keep my Tarantula info in and this app goes above and beyond. Was then looking for something to keep my Fish tank in and every fish tank app was a total disappointment but this app has everything I need and more and so easy to set up. Hands down best app!!

I use this for my reptiles and itās AMAZING! I love the log aspect for food so I can check what my lizards have a preference for, and the ui is very user friendly with a lot of data you can input.
I feel like if this app became popular enough it would be revolutionary for breeders/sellers as you can transfer them over to a new owner, while giving them a history of care, vet visits, and diet for that specific pet.

Very good exotics tracker app!
(Been using a different app geared towards arachnids for a while. Itās good but prone to errors and wasnāt suiting my needs as well as hoped.)

ā¢ Hot Take: Awesome! Lots to like, tons of features, versatile. Definitely recommend it so far. Itās maybe not as flashy as the other one, but itās more customizable.
The options for customization are phenomenal. Navigation of the app makes sense and is fairly intuitive. The core programming seems pretty stable; no apparent errors or troubles loading anything. Lots of suggestions or prompts, and the āSupportā feature is easy to find. Plus, thereās a data backup feature to prevent loss of all your stored info.
Iāve set up three tarantula slings, two species of roach colonies, and a couple feeder groups so far. Everything was pretty self explanatory. I was able change the date order and switch to a 24-hour clock. And so far, nearly every conceivable piece of data or action I could want to track is trackable. There are even custom data sets that can be added for tracking. This dev seems to have thought of practically everything!
It would be nice to be able to add details like what brand or mix was used for substrate (might have missed it if itās available).
Also, maybe a Bio-active check box/toggle or even category could be helpful too. If it were a category, perhaps sections to indicate what types of cleanup crew were used and which varieties: Springtails - temperate, tropical, or arid, and/or Isopods - species/morph, and so on. I currently only have invertebrates so itās possible that option may be available for other animals. Idk.
One last suggestion: Measurements. āTrue Spidersā are usually measured in body length rather than diagonal toe-to-toe like tarantulas and almost always in millimeters due to their typically small size (regardless of the local unit of measurement). Having an option to change unit of measure based on the animal, rather than a global setting, would be really useful.
My Ts will be in inches because Iām in the US, but my āTrue Spiderā should ideally be in millimeters. (Can we all just switch to metric already? Lol Constantly converting back and forth is such a pain.)
My only realā¦ Issue? Complaint?ā¦ Is that feeding reminders can only occur when the app is running in the background. Not a huge deal and certainly not a ādeal breaker.ā Itās also not like this app seems like it would bog anything down, but it would be nice if that could be changed in the future. Iām liable to forget to open it again if it gets closed for any reason.
Lastly: Thereās a Pro version, but that thereās also an option to watch a video for a couple ad-free days or to just get a little extra cash to the developer: āHelp me buy a coffee.ā Love that.
So far, it doesnāt seem like anythingās behind a paywall either which is massively appreciated.

Very good, just one small problem
I love this app and itās really helpful for my snakes because I feed them on alternate weeks, but it never gives me notifications when to feed even though I changed my system settings and the app settings so I should get notifications for each snake every 14 days. It might be something Iām doing wrong, itās really helpful and thatās the only problem I have.

Too glitchy
I would love the app if it actually worked but half the time it doesnāt. When it does I like it but some of the settings I canāt find any option to edit??? Like it says ālast fedā and I canāt find a place to add when my pet was last fed. Idk I feel like they need some help streamlining and making this app more user friendly and they REALLY need to fix the glitches
