Broken, but has potential
Tried this app several months ago, but had serious issues with synchronization with my bank account. Decided to try again, and now it’s even worse. Constant crashes. Syncing to my bank account is now separate from my wallets, which makes that feature completely useless. Also, still no subcategories. Labels are a poor substitute. Only redeeming feature is that it offers a lifetime license, which few other money apps offer. Not sure if this app is worth the price, though.

Editing transaction is very slow
After updating the app, the editing process is getting very slow as it has to load all the transactions instead of month by month

In the meantime, I'm using the web version of Spendee, which is basic, but works okay.
I've been using this app for more than 10 years... (glad I've become a lifetime supporter) No need to look for other apps. That said, the recently updated app constantly crashes....
While the interface got cleaner, whenever I click the "+" button to add an expense, the app just freezes. 🫠😇 This should be fixed right away since I don't want to migrate to another app at this point! (the bug is persisting, which makes me to think about migrating to other apps...) I still cannot understand why the developers did end up releasing such a faulty version 🤯 We need a more clear timeline of the bug fix, and just give us back the previous version of the app while we're waiting!

spendee 6’s ui is terrible
the new ui/ux is terrible.
the app’s user interface and design used to have character, now it just looks like other sloppified apps on app store. what a shame.

Used to be great, not anymore
I’ve used this app daily for the last 4-5 years. It was perfect but in the last month there was an update that changed the entire app and it started freezing and crashing the app whenever I try to update my expenses. It’s made it practically unusable on my phone and I have to use the web interface to update everything. it really sucks. Do better team, this is a huge failure and this release shouldn’t have made it to production without more testing. Everything was great and really performant the way it was prior and the new changes have totally screwed it. Pleeeeeease resolve this soon. When you do I’ll come and remove this review.

Slooooooow
It’s been slow as hell since they redid the whole look. Like I can’t even enter things because it just won’t let me click anything. I have to open and shut the app multiple times to enter one thing. I’m about to just find another app because pointless having a budget app I can’t use.
**09/04/26** New issue, I can’t even submit right now because the bottom only give me “ai scan receipt” as an option which requires paying. I don’t want to even deal with ai on the app period but it seems they are trying to force you to pay to even use the app.

I’ve used this app more than 4years, it was good but after updating the new version it’s went down. very slow 😭
Latest Update Keeps Crashing
App was working fine. After the lastest update and UI changes now nothing is working. Keeps hanging and just doesn’t work anymore!! Please fix it.
Why change it a lot?
If it’s not broken, don’t change it. Interface changed a lot. It’s lagging everytime i try to use it. More complicated after the update. Why? You messed it up.

Still getting used to the new look
I’m a long time user - seems like we had a pretty big update, a lot of changes at once to get used to. A couple things I have struggled with so far: could please have an option to have the week start on Monday, not Sunday? And also, when you scroll in transaction view now, it just automatically keeps scrolling into previous months, which is a bit annoying - I liked the old version more where you had to click on previous months bar charts to see transactions from there. Also, the font/view seems a bit too big/zoomed in, perhaps also an option to reduce font?

Update fail
App not usable anymore after the latest update. App freezes and won’t react to touch. I was really happy with the app before, and disappointed that it’s no longer working. Please can you try and fix this bug asap? Seems like a problem multiple users are experiencing.

I really hate the new design. It’s not functional or intuitive, especially for people who have been using Spendee regularly and are used to the previous layout.
Adding expenses has become tedious and unnecessarily complicated. On top of that, when I want to review my expenses, everything feels mixed together and disorganized, making it much harder to keep track of my finances.
The previous design was much more practical, simple, and easy to use. Please fix the new interface or, preferably, bring back the previous design. The new update has made an app I used to enjoy using frustrating and difficult to navigate.

Terrible app , always buggy. Avoid
I’ve been using this app for over 5 years. Because it’s great? No. Simply because it was the one I downloaded back then, and just sticked to it despite all its flaws, cause I was too lazy to move to a new one.
Throughout all these years the app presented constant issues, and it has always been very buggy and slow. Every time there was a major version update, it come with new bugs (including the latest “Spendee 6”).
No more.
I am now moving on to a different one. Any other app will definitely be better than this one

Laggy UI & not keeping up with AI
The app has a major update to Spendee 6 recently. While I appreciate the user interface looks nicer than before, the upgrade doesn’t give better user experience. The number button is larger but often not responsive, and it is now a few more buttons away before you can click on my saved labels - and come on it should now be easy to use AI to show labels related to that categories first but there’s no AI helping to make this expense tracking easier. Room to improve

Nao sei por que foram atualizar a UI do app, era perfeita. Agora simplesmente o aplicativo nao funciona, nao da cadastrar uma simples transação sem ter que ficar abrindo e fechando o aplicativo

Used to be great
The app used to be the one place for all my budgeting needs. With the new update I have to use the web version on my computer for full functionality.
