I’ve used other self guided travel apps and the quality of this one is very high thanks to comprehensive details about Skye’s history and the local voice. I’m certain anyone exploring Skye will get more out of their adventure with this app and believe it’s a great value!

This app is an indispensable audio guide to Skye packed with information that only local knowledge provides. It leads you through the culture, heritage and legends of Skye in a truly accessible form. Tips on how to prepare for your trip prior to travel are pertinent and most welcome. The description of Skye’s formation by volcanic activity 60 million years ago to form the Cuillin - the most dramatic mountain range in the U.K. - is beautifully and clearly explained.

Really made our trip!
We love listening and reading about the history of places we visit. Skye is such a magical island. This was such a great way to learn about Skye as we discovered the island by car and by foot. Can’t wait to come back again, the locals are lovely too!

Beautiful Design and Helpful Features
I went on my honeymoon to Skye and used this app to explore the island. It was an amazing experience for me and my wife! The audio guides were super informative and very interesting. We honestly had no idea how much history existed on the island and learned so much! In all our traveling we have never come across an app like this. It’s very unique! I wish more places had a virtual guide like this one. 100% recommend!!

Fantastic App - You can immerse yourself in the real Skye!
I have had great pleasure introducing the App to our guests. The introduction and description of the island and its extraordinary history is wonderful! So too and in particular the Gaelic spoken in the introduction to welcome guests. Inspired!
So important that Skye is seen as so much more than just spectacular scenery and David and Robin do just that as they tell the story of Skye and guide visitors to places that are off the beaten track and away from the more well-known places, improving the visitor’s enjoyment of and engagement with the island and its people

This app was incredibly helpful during our stay in Skye. The maps and landmarks were useful in planning our itinerary and my family also enjoyed listening to the audio guides that added so much to our experience.
I can’t recommend this app more if you are visiting the Isle of Skye. Now I wish that everywhere I went had a similar app!!

Excellent tool for planning my Skye trip
Was told about this app from a neighbour who’d used it recently, as I’m planning a trip to Skye next month. I found it extremely useful, easy to navigate and very thorough.
What a nice experience
We loved listening to these stories and history on Skye. We also received a lovely welcome pack with local music and recommendations on places to eat which we found very useful.
Avoid!!
Consists of a huge download. And what seems to be free actually needs an almost £12 unlocking fee. Most misleading!!!
