About
Exposure
Meter a scene, enter the aperture, shutter and ISO your camera settled on, then change one and let Fstopper solve for another. You get the matching exposure and a ladder of equivalent pairs; tap a pair to use it. If the answer needs a lens faster than f/1 or a shutter quicker than 1/8000, it tells you so instead of quietly lying. No meter at all? The Sunny 16 sheet estimates a reading from the light, from snow and sand down to open shade, and hands it back as your metered value.
Depth
Pick a focal length, a focus distance and a sensor, then read off the near limit, far limit, total depth of field and hyperfocal distance. Presets run from full frame through APS-H, both APS-C crops and Micro Four Thirds down to small compacts, and you can add your own sensor by width and height while the circle of confusion is worked out for you. One tap focuses at hyperfocal, for landscapes and for the undecided.
ND
Enter the shutter speed without a filter, choose a filter strength from ND2 up to ND1M, and see the long-exposure time. Prefer to start from the result? Pick a target from 1 second to 4 minutes and it names the filter. Past 30 seconds, start the bulb timer and let it count down while you resist touching the tripod.
Settings
Third-stop or full-stop steps, metric or imperial distances, sounds, custom sensors and saved snapshots.
Any reading can be saved as a snapshot, and all of it stays on this iPhone. It is arithmetic, not a light meter: composition is still your job.
