Quite a good Gas Mileage Tracking App
I just want to start off by saying that this app doesn’t have any of the subscription BS that almost every single app has nowadays. It feels like an actual tool rather than a greedy service. In terms of practical use, the app is very good in automatically starting the trip and seems like it’s giving accurate information. I really cant say I have any complaints! Looking forward to using this app for the foreseeable future.

New version problems
The old version was pretty good but just recently they did the update and without notice it updated the existing app. Lost all my trips saved and can’t get an access to them. 5 months of this year and all previous years are gone. No way to send email as the contact us tab is not letting you to send an email. You can write but the send arrow is not active. No way to go back to menu if you tap settings and need to close and open app again. What just happened to this good app?

Can’t sign up
The app requires you to create an account but the password field does not accept any password of any constitution, including always the error message that it requires 8 characters no matter that you have tried nineteen different 8+character passwords.
New user, dang near useless app
Right off the app is dang near useless. Even putting in any information is difficult, I’m using an iPhone se and the app doesn’t allow for scrolling to read other information. Furthermore, once you select a box to input something you are stuck in that box because of the inability to scroll up or down. As of yet I don’t have any real data to collect but just looking at the report page drives me crazy. The text on the bottom half of the page overlaps the or sits so close to selectable items that you end up selecting or changing option you weren’t even trying to bother with. The reviews for this app have been mostly positive but I can’t imagine why if this is what there is to work with before you really even get started.

App is crashing at loading screen
I have noticed that this app keeps crashing at splash loading screen.
The only way I can manage to get this app to stop doing this is if I reboot my phone.
But once I do this the app loads, however if I shut it down and try to restart it crashes again at startup.

Working out some kinks
App worked well for the first couple months. Then it stopped sending reports. Now it won’t even open up. Support has been helpful and responsive.
App has lot of features and works
This app has improved a lot in last a few updates. Automatic trip tracking works like a magic and is totally free.
Not working properly
This app used work good. Now it starts and shuts off during your trip.

2020 Updated: I’ve now been using Extra Mile for several years. Recent updates have been great. Also, the customer service is remarkable. I had a tech problem with the app, and they got right back to me and had it fixed in a day. Then I suggested a feature, and they had it working and added within a week. Very nicely done.
I've been using extra mile for about a month now. I love it, all I do is hit start when I get in my car and end when I reach my destination, and figures out how far I drove. It does it all by GPS so you don't have to deal with your odometer. Definitely the easiest way to keep track of my mileage that I've found.

Best mileage tracker
There were some issues in past versions but now the app works perfectly. It’s totally free and tracks unlimited trips!
New version is also crashing
Hi. So I upgraded based on the latest version too out out and my app is still crashing immediately upon opening. Your app used to be good but remains useless and a waste of time now.
New update has problems
The app was awesome before the latest update. Now it's junk. It only tracks mileage if the app is running, but if you try and make a call or do anything else with your phone the tracking stops, thus your mileage is way off. It also now requires that it has access to your location at all times, not just when the app is active. For both of these reasons I am looking for other options now. Too bad, I have used this app for years and loved it and recommended it to others. But I don't think it needs to know where I am at all times, and it now long works properly.

Not any better than the freebies.
Not bad, but no innovation over MapQuest, which I actually like better. It was just a couple of bucks, but that money was casually thrown away. I HAVE to stop doing that!

I experienced a frustrating moment and it was resolved the same day just by emails! This is the only GPS app I use on my iPhone. I find it dependably reliable, and easy to use. Thank you!
Good for mileage tracking
This app is great for tracking my trip mileage. I wasn't happy about needing to purchase a voice to be able to make good use of the navigation app. It would be better to include that in the base price since it is a primary use of the app.

No stars. Map does not show up on head unit. Waste of money.

Doesn't Apple even test these apps to see if they work. The developers should just be ashamed of themselves.
First the app froze and I had uninstall and reinstall to unfreeze it. Next I put in a 316 mile trip I planned to take the next day. It routed me in the opposite direction along the Mexican border for almost 800 miles. Each time I tried to reroute I got a message asking me to buy "Julie's voice" for $1.99. Apparently I was the first idiot that bought this app--don't you be the next one!
