Privacy Concerns - App is Broken
App hasn’t updated for 3 years now. One can only assume it’s because Apple requires developers to provide privacy details upon the next update. They haven’t, they won’t so no update is incoming any time soon. Guess they’re hiding what data they harvest and choose to use keep the ‘old’ app.

Stories are out of date. Killing the app and starting again makes no difference. Feels like EWN abandoned this app years ago
Desperately needs content updates
The app is fine but it would be great to read current news. The current top story is more than a week old. The trending story is more than a day old. And the article “could this man be South Africa’s own Jeffrey Epstein?” has been at the top of the “top stories” for more than a year…
Stuck on old news from years ago
App has widgets stuck on old news from months, if not years ago. Doesn’t update quickly at all. Slower than print media.

The app is not updating to show the latest news. News articles are many days old
News feed not updating
Despite numerous complaints in the app forum itself, it still does not update to latest news feed. I have deleted then reinstalled with no joy. Using an iPhone 14. Do I delete completely and start using another news feed app or will you resolve and give feedback?

Your app isn’t updating news anymore. It’s been 10 days. If it updates it will give me articles that are 3 days old. I’ve even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it. Does the same thing.

App no longer updates
The app no longer updates. Stuck on content from 4 days ago. Even tried uninstalling and re-installing with same result so app is pretty much useless at this stage.
Incorrect News Articles
So many articles are totally wrong. Doesn’t look like they do any sort of fact checking.
Racist news
All news articles is only about black people in SA… News that involves other races never features… Their app’s comment section is fake and does not work
No notification
I don’t get any breaking news notifications anymore. I’ve checked in my settings and there are no issues.
Push notifications
Push notifications all have stopped working and there does not seem to be any fix for this?
Crashes and no video sound
The app crashes fairly frequently and watching a video in the app does not include sound (yes, I unmuted). Otherwise it is fine and good enough for my needs.
