Nothing But Problems
I have paid for and used your VPN for the last 10 years. I have had nothing but trouble with it in the last 6+ months. It is not working properly on any level on my iPhone since upgrades. I myself have done everything I know how to try and fix it, including your website instructions. Frankly, I've had enough and will not be renewing my subscription which is due in another few months. You fix it or help me fix it.

Works but messes with receiving text messages
Been using this app for a couple of years now, it sometimes takes time to connect to a server, have to switch servers to get it connected . Doesn’t bother me tbh but what does bother is, that it recently started messing with receiving text. Haven’t changed anything but all of a sudden - when I turn off the vpn- I receive old text messages that are weeks old… That shouldn’t happen. It never did that before

Hi Von, Thanks for reporting this. A VPN should not delay text messages. Changes in your carrier or OS can sometimes affect how SMS is routed while a VPN is active. IOS 26
Since I’ve updated to IOS 26 the app doesn’t work. Please fix and update.
Virtually unusable
I’ve used this app for many years on various Apple devices without problem. However, the new app is useless. The VPN keeps cutting out randomly and no amount of tweaking with the settings seems to make any difference. I’ve cancelled my auto-renewal and will be looking around for something else unless the app can be quickly stabilised.

Not a reliable app
The app did perform great in the first couple of years. But the last 12 months have been a pain. It frequently looses the connection for one reason or other. You need to switch it off and on again in order to get it to work. Quite a number of apps also have recognised the use of the app and will not give you a true VPN.

Repeated, Constant, Disconnections
11/14 - Totally non-functional on iPad at this time.
12/6/23 - Some improvement but nowhere near enough.
10/24/23 - Worked very well for quite a while but now have frequent (iPhone and iPad) disconnections. 8/4/22 - iPad performance has deteriorated again. Would definitely not recommend for iPad use. 7/20/22 - IPad problems have been ameliorated over the past few days. 7/16/22 - For a while now, almost unusable on iPads - VERY frequent disconnections, regardless of servers selected or settings. 4/11/20 - Works well (with open VPN) on my iPad at this time. 3/23/20 - Raising my rating from one to three stars (which is somewhat random), mainly because the pandemic might have affected their ability to provide service (e.g. being overwhelmed because almost everyone is home). 3/19/20 - Very frequent disconnects make it almost unusable- takes minutes to re-connect each time. 3/13/20 - Lately, ability to remain connected to VPN (after being idle) is terrible (with newest iPad - 2019). 12/25/19 - Sometimes fails but not too often (raised to 4 stars) 2/6/18 - Reliability of servers is still an issue (on and off). 5/31/17 - Lowered my rating - Recent repeated problems with connections (to U.S. East Coast and South). The VPN service is extremely reliable (but not perfect). I've been using it for approximately 4 months.

Does not work at all.

Turns off automatically
I am having problems with the app turning itself off. I am still to receive the Activate new app link to start using the new F-Secure app. Can you give me any help with these problems? I have been through the community pages and they have been no help.

Worthless
I spend more time with it off now as it spends most of its time buffering and preventing me from operating online. I routinely have to manually turn it off and on again to work, and manually cycle through servers.
If I were to invent a vpn to protect my internet traffic by simply blocking my access, it would look like this.

Best VPN and great value!
I've tried loads of VPNs over the years and all of them caused some kind of issues, like slowing down my connection, blocking it all together or would stop working. Also prices of the popular ones are so high. This VPN works so smooth and without interruption. I'm on the monthly plan and it's so cheap! Also from a brand I know and trust, F-Secure ever since I heard, it's used in places like nuclear plants etc. My favourite VPN by far! Totally recommend! A++++++ 😃

Great VPN, account management not so much
Freedome has been the quiet achieving VPN for years: simple, reliable, fast enough and from a trustworthy company. This makes it pretty good for family and recommending to others. It now requires a convoluted, time consuming process to get them on board which is quite a hinderance, particularly while upgrading. Edit: performance issues seem to be resolved. It’s back to easily being worth the slight premium over other VPN providers.

Ever since the 12-month renewal, to the minute, I can’t receive or send texts consistently without error
Constantly “can’t connect to the internet” even with 2-5 cell bars and using Google maps or checking/using any app on cellular data use.
The phone is 80% of the time offline whether near WiFi or on cellular data. It’s rather annoying and I’ve sent feedback and taken the survey and searched the pointless FAQ section. Can’t find how to contact a human.
Worked fine in 2023. 2024 kicked off with new billing and bolloxed service. I have deleted the app and reinstalled. I’ve updated the software. Nothing works
