A fun way to journal

This app provides a fun and unique way to journal! It helps craft a story of your life with different features that unlock the more you journal. It grows with you and you can see your own growth with it too. Highly recommend if you want something more than just writing your thoughts down in a plain journal.

Wish this was around when I was an anxious teenager!

This is a great app. If only I had such a journaling app when I was a child, turning my struggles in my challenges, and my insecurities into a heroes journey is an amazing way to help young people through their struggles. I’m really impressed with this app and very happy I got it five stars and recommended to anyone with young people who enjoy sci-fi and fantasy stories. This put you in the middle of the story it’s

Fabulous!

So many things to love about this app.
First, the AI picks out themes from your Journal entries and turns them into beautifully relevant art!

Next, love the fun way that it extracts elements of your Journal entries and assigns them to developmental categories such as Builder, Baker. Sleuth, etc.

Finally, although the chronological grouping is easiest to match to memory, the epic sequence helps group life into more meaning groupings that connect through themes.

After finally:). The developers are very responsive to questions and suggestions.

We don’t generate derivative AI content, and we strictly follow Fair Use and licensed materials.

I Think I Misunderstood

I really feel like I misunderstood what this app is trying to do. I thought that this app would take my regular old journal entries and, using AI, make something cool. However, since I am new, I have copied my regular old journal entries where I usually record them and paste them into Fable. When I do that Fable will accept my entry and, if it is longer than 150 words, offer to optimize it for me. Once optimized it records the entry, generates an image and finds themes. The rest is fine but having AI “optimize” my entry indicates to me that I exist for the journal not the journal existing for me. What I am ending up with is AI summarized entries (when they are longer than 150 words) with even more AI bells and whistles on top of that. If you write short entries then this is probably for you. If you are like me, where some are and others are not that short, then this may not be the app for you. I’m not opposed to the AI flair but I feel like this is more AI than it is journal and that isn’t really when I am looking for.

That’s because we’ve been focused on helping users build a daily storytelling habit. That said, we’re actively working on a new long-form editor that will better support traditional journaling. It will preserve your full entries and intelligently break them down into narrative “scenes” without overwriting your original voice. We really appreciate you sharing your experience—it’s helping us shape the next version of Fable to work better for a wider range of journaling styles.

Makes journaling fun!

I am absolutely loving this app so far. I don’t even think I am fully utilizing all of its features yet. It provides art, inspiration, advice, quests and frameworks. I keep finding myself actively seeking reasons to make entries. What exciting spin on such a classic tool like journaling.

I don’t think I really understood what this app was, but you had me at AI and journal. Once I got the hang of it, I found it really fun and enlightening. If you want to think of your life as a story and adventure, or if you just want some encouragement along the way, you might like this app.

Content is behind a paywall, but using a number of ads to pay for it would make it more accessible.

Every bit of this app is creatively designed, useful, and fun! The developers deserve the price put on the content. However, to allow all users to enjoy it while still supporting the developers the same amount, I request a payment option that uses a number of voluntary ads to cover the cost. This would allow way more users to pay the developers and make the app more available to everyone! Thank you for your time :)

Recommend for everyday use

With only 50 word limits, it has me craft my memories with intention while enjoying the AI’s prophecies of what will happen next potentially in my life. The pictures are amazing to create and I throughly appreciate their support team. They always are trying to make things better.

Best journaling app. With one caveat

Love the app, and the artwork. As well as the insight it provides. The only caveat is the AI has some spelling errors, but this seems to be the case with all AI apps. Perhaps over time it will improve. Until then, my only suggestion is to allow us to edit the image and the words to correct them.

Awesome journaling app with amazing artwork!

I've been using Fable for a month or so, and it's really changed how I view journaling. It's like having a personal storyteller - my daily entries turn into these cool 'prophecies' with awesome stylized artwork depicting my journal entry. The character quests are so much fun. I was worried about writing every day, it’s a new habit for sure, but the prompts make it super easy. Plus, I love knowing my entries are private. Definitely recommend for a cool, creative spin on journaling!

Commits art theft

This app functions off of making little illustrations of your events by stealing art and mashing it together. Sometimes you can even see the messed up artist signatures. There’s no way to turn this option off so you don’t participate in it.

A very unique and useful way of journaling

An amazing and new way of journaling! I love the concept of introducing ai into journalism, and I love how it creates goals to add onto your own story’s! It’s definitely a useful, portable and quick way of writing about things that happen, 5/5, definitely needs more attention

Good right up until you need to pay

I am a writer so this app was a very interesting way of keeping track of things, however after only 8 entries I suddenly need to pay for credits to continue using it- very disappointing
