I bought the app previously based on all of the features it had. Now it’s taken 99% of those features away unless I want to pay $119 a year to use the app. Considering the fact I’ve already purchased the app and those features, I consider this to be theft.

this app used to be my absolute favorite. it was free to use besides a few pro features. but now the company got money hungry and ALL features you now have to pay for. you can only edit 3 photos a week for free. it's genuinely insane. don't even bother downloading it, you can't even do something as simple as adding a filter or brighten the photo without paying for the subscription. & the cost of the subscription is insane too. $12 a week or $80 a year like are you kidding????

Just canceled my subscription
Unfortunately when I opened FaceTime today, it came with the notice that it would now use my images for 3rd party apps and AI if I proceed. Had to cancel and I’m sad about it. But I refuse to let them use my image.

stop using AI for everything, sometimes all people want is subtle changes, now every feature looks so fake makes it look obvious you edited.

Awful AI Headshots App
Tried to create AI headshots, makes you pay before seeing them. None of them captured my likeness even closely, I wear glasses and it didn’t include my glasses in 90% of my options. Attempted to refund because I didn’t receive what I had paid for and got ignored.

Speechless, absolutely awful. Been using for so many years but the AI features are useless and temperamental. Do not waste your money, awful, awful, awful, awful. Just plain awful.

The original Facetune app was genuinely amazing.
Facetune 2, on the other hand, feels like nothing more than a money-making scheme.
Almost all of the useful features are locked behind a subscription, with the developers seemingly hoping users will be willing to pay every single month and in this economy and inflation it is simply just not realistic or possible. It preys on insecurities to make you spend so much money which you can’t even complete in a one off payment. Instead, users are expected to essentially rent access to an app they could previously purchase outright and may i add not a cheap rent - it’s more expensive than a gym membership weekly. This feels greedy and disrespectful to the people who supported and loved the original Facetune.
It’s also incredibly misleading when your responses to reviews repeatedly claim that Facetune 2 is “free.” Yes, downloading the app is free, but you can barely use any of its worthwhile features without paying.
It’s incredibly disappointing to see such a great app turn into what feels like a constant push for more money.
