Buggy

Update?? Every time I try to use the thing it freezes. I have an iPhone 16 Pro.

Scam

Claims to have free functions, but when I try to just track a simple ball at the driving range, it cuts the video off at the moment of impact every single time. They’re just trying to get you to pay through lies and misleading. I’m new to the game and didn’t necessarily want to invest a bunch of money at the very start. Maybe show people the features and they might actually want to purchase this

Response from developer

Sorry for the frustrating experience. Golf Shot Tracer offers a free trial so users can test the app before subscribing, but we don’t advertise unlimited free tracing/export features.  A video cutting off right at impact usually means something went wrong with that specific trace setup or processing. The best way for us to help is through the in-app feedback system: after the trace, tap thumbs down and opt to share the video with us. That lets us review the actual clip and understand whether ball visibility, camera placement, timing, or another factor caused the result.  Thanks for the feedback, we’re continuing to improve how clearly the trial explains what’s included and how to get the best tracing results.

Nice app but only paid

App is a 10/10,
Only downside is that you have to pay to export the video

Bad tracing

Doesn’t trace the ball at all.

Hang time

This is so much better now, bu the hang time is all messed up. The trace is great until the high point and then the trace ZOOMS down to the ground. It needs to have some sort of hang time adjustment, it also needs to be able to shape the landing, it traces to the high point and then the fall line is a straight line

Response from developer

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, this is really helpful feedback. I’m glad to hear the trace itself is working much better up to the high point, and I completely understand what you mean about the continuation after that feeling too fast and too straight.  You’re right that the app needs more control over the post-apex ball flight, especially hang time / descent speed and the shape of the landing path. That’s a very clear improvement area, and we’re going to use this feedback to make the continuation feel more natural and customizable.  I really appreciate you sticking with the app and pointing this out in such a specific way. Feedback like this helps us improve the tracer in the exact places golfers actually notice.
