Sorry for the frustrating experience. Golf Shot Tracer offers a free trial so users can test the app before subscribing, but we don’t advertise unlimited free tracing/export features. A video cutting off right at impact usually means something went wrong with that specific trace setup or processing. The best way for us to help is through the in-app feedback system: after the trace, tap thumbs down and opt to share the video with us. That lets us review the actual clip and understand whether ball visibility, camera placement, timing, or another factor caused the result. Thanks for the feedback, we’re continuing to improve how clearly the trial explains what’s included and how to get the best tracing results.
Nice app but only paid
Only downside is that you have to pay to export the video
Bad tracing
Hang time
Response from developer
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, this is really helpful feedback. I’m glad to hear the trace itself is working much better up to the high point, and I completely understand what you mean about the continuation after that feeling too fast and too straight. You’re right that the app needs more control over the post-apex ball flight, especially hang time / descent speed and the shape of the landing path. That’s a very clear improvement area, and we’re going to use this feedback to make the continuation feel more natural and customizable. I really appreciate you sticking with the app and pointing this out in such a specific way. Feedback like this helps us improve the tracer in the exact places golfers actually notice.
Not good

Sorry for the frustration here. Full photo library access should not be required just to use the camera, and we’re investigating that now. Golf Shot Tracer currently generates tracers quickly after a shot is recorded, rather than live, because we’re prioritizing accuracy over real-time speed. We agree that should be much clearer in the app, and we appreciate the feedback.
Scam Trial
Response from developer
Sorry for the confusion and frustration here. That’s not the experience we want anyone to have. Free trials are managed through Apple’s subscription flow, and eligibility can vary depending on account status or prior subscriptions. If you were charged unexpectedly, please contact us with your Apple subscription receipt so we can look into what happened and help clarify the charge.
Very bad
Response from developer
Hello, we are sorry you had a bad experience. We encourage users to use our in-app camera which records at 120fps/1080p for best results. The higher framerate allows for much better tracking results. The auto tracer is still something we are constantly improving as we get more data so we hope you decide to try it again soon. We still maintain a manual tracer option for any of those auto tracers that don't quite look right.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We want to address your concerns: Photo access — Golf Shot Tracer needs access to your videos so you can select a golf swing to trace. On iOS, you can choose “Allow Access to Selected Photos” to share only specific videos rather than your full library. We never upload or store your media on our servers — all processing happens on your device. Notifications — Notifications are currently only used to remind you before your free trial expires, so you don’t get charged if the app isn’t the right fit. You can decline the prompt or disable notifications anytime in Settings. Subscription — A subscription is required to export traced videos, but we offer a free trial so you can make sure the app performs as expected before committing. The revenue from subscriptions is what allows us to continue building and improving Golf Shot Tracer for our users. We take your feedback seriously and appreciate you sharing it.
