All the Hype
I see all the hype in these reviews. The “podfather” does it again…I love that I can set rankings and autodraft(?)” I’m not a passive player. I don’t want to auto draft with set rankings. I play bestball to draft my team, not to press a button to hand over 10 dollars and let “rankings” take over. In my opinion there just aren’t enough people on the app yet. You want to draft at 8pm? Well your draft will start in the middle of the night when some late nighter takes the last spot and to my knowledge there is no stop gap for that. Or, you wait two hours and barely get notification and it starts. I got a snarky response from customer service because I pointed this out with some sarcasm - that’s fine - but it isn’t my problem to fix. It is yours. I’m sure you didn’t envision tailoring an app for auto draft kings. You created an app for people like me, but it is not efficient for people like me in the sense that the only thing that is fast is your draft. It’s so fast with so little warning you might miss it. But you definitely hurry up and WAAAAAIIIIIIIIT to draft” which simply does not fit with real life. Don’t think this review is based on one time. I tried this app ONCE last year and it burned me. I said I wouldn’t come back to it. I tried it again this year and the same thing happened. I complained and my complaint was handled with a side of “I’m missing the entire point and only reading your sarcastic example” from Matt. I’m not an idiot, I’ve been doing this long enough. If you are wanting to sign up for a draft at 7pm then have no idea when your draft will actually start - here ya go! If you want draft between 7-8 when you sign up at 7. Go somewhere else. Heck, if you want to draft between 7 and 10 go somewhere else. If you don’t want to spend your money and find out the draft started at 1am and it’s done before you wake up, don’t use this. It just isn’t there yet. Maybe it needs to reach more people. Set up is cool (not any more spectacular than anyone else’s though), contests are fun (again, so are everyone else’s), but there are efficiency and participation problems that can spoil it. It was a bigger problem than one draft MATT and FD. I tried two different seasons in two different ways and encountered the same problem. This is a competitive market. Work on your product.
