Very good app once you understand the concept

Favhiker is a fantastic app for food lovers who want personalised and reliable dish recommendations. The app matches profile to your unique taste and recommended history, making food discovery easy and fun. Its vibrant community brings together local and global foodies to share trusted suggestions and hidden gems anywhere. The badge system rewards favorite dishes, adding a fun social element. Travel Mode is especially helpful for finding the best local eats while travelling to new cities. Favhiker has truly changed how I explore food, by offering real recommendations from people who share their recommendations for love of food and good cuisine. It’s a bit tricky to use till you are familiar with the app and once you understand how favhiker works it's perfect for anyone who enjoys discovering and sharing their great food.

Best App for Food discovery

I’ve been using Favhiker for almost a year now. Honestly, in the beginning the app was not very user-friendly, but over time it has improved a lot and I’ve also gotten used to it. The reason I still stick with Favhiker is because of the unique problem they are solving.

What I really like is the Taste Matching and City Explorers feature – it feels like getting recommendations directly from locals in every city who matchs my taste preferences. FYI - This is not a food delivery app, it’s something different. The way Favhiker uses recommendations instead of regular reviews feels like the next evolution of how we will discover food in future.

At first, you might also wonder, “How does this really work?” – but the only way to understand is by actually using it. Kudos to the Favhiker team for building this idea and taking on such a challenge. Full support from me and my friends – keep going, we love what you’re doing! 🙌

I’ve always struggled to decide where and what to eat, especially in new places. But Favhiker makes it super easy! Instead of random reviews, I get food recommendations from people I actually trust and follows—friends, foodies, and even locals.

I also love how it’s not just about ratings. People share real recs about dishes they liked, where to find them, It feels personal and helpful.

If you love trying new food and don’t want to rely on fake or paid reviews, Favhiker is perfect. It’s simple, fun, and actually usefulness is based on users thoughts, I found it a bit hard to use initally but now it’s awesome.

Enable a guest mode

It would be great if the app offered an option to try it without requiring a login. Being able to explore the features first would really help. Personally, when I see a login screen right away, I hesitate—and I’m sure many others feel the same.

Disappointed by Mandatory Login

I was excited to try FavHiker, but unfortunately, the mandatory account creation with personal details like an email before even previewing the app is a major red flag. Trust is earned, and forcing users to hand over their information without allowing a simple guest mode or trial experience feels restrictive and unnecessary. Privacy-conscious users like myself prefer apps that are transparent and respect user choices. Even for a free version, the ads are too much. This is like totally neglecting free users. They could’ve just limited features instead of attacking us with ads. Its just frustrating to use.
