About

Feed Me RSS is a fast, private, beautifully typeset RSS reader for iPhone, iPad and Mac — built for people who follow a lot of sources and refuse to hand their reading habits to an algorithm. No account. No tracking. Your feeds and reading state sync privately through your own iCloud. READS YOUR FEEDS WITH YOU Feed Me includes a full on-device AI toolkit powered by Apple Intelligence. It runs entirely on your iPhone, iPad or Mac: nothing is uploaded, there is no account, no subscription, no cost — and it works offline. • YOUR DIGEST — a free daily rundown that groups the day's stories into themes and writes them up. • ASK THE ARTICLE — real answers about what you're reading, with suggested questions written for that story. • REFRAME IT — read any piece as a TL;DR, a plain-English explainer, just-the-facts, or key points. • KEY SENTENCES — the article's own most important lines, pulled out. Extractive, never invented. • EXPLAIN ANYTHING — select a confusing sentence or bit of jargon for a plain explanation in context. • ANOTHER ANGLE — one tap to a different outlet covering the same story. • WHY IT MATTERS · PLAIN HEADLINE · SHARE BLURB · TRANSLATE — the small tools that make reading faster. • Every AI tool can be switched off individually, so the reader shows only what you use. FINDS THE GOOD STUFF • FRONT PAGE — a magazine view that ranks the best of your feeds, per folder or across everything. • FOR YOU — learns what you actually read and floats what you'll care about to the top. • MORE LIKE THIS — every article points to genuinely related stories from your own feeds. • SAME STORY, MANY SOURCES — a dozen outlets on one event collapse into a single card. • SMARTER SEARCH — finds stories by meaning, not just exact words. • SMART FOLDERS — saved searches that act like folders. Describe one in plain English and Feed Me writes the filter. • MUTE BY MEANING — mute "crypto price moves" and it also hushes "Bitcoin slides 8%". BUILT FOR READING • A clean reader with full-text extraction, so you get the whole article, not a teaser. • Serif, sans and rounded typefaces, adjustable size, line spacing, paragraph spacing and column width. • Light, dark and sepia themes with warm, easy-on-the-eye colour. • Reading progress, resume across devices, and catch-up time estimates. • Highlights and quote sharing. Mark older as read. Continue reading. Reading stats. • Video, GIF and embedded media render inline. POWER USER FRIENDLY • Full keyboard control on Mac, customisable shortcuts, and a menu-bar extra with your unread count. • Open articles in their own window, and a distraction-free focus mode. • Customisable reader toolbar and swipe actions. • Sort newest or oldest first, choose what a tap opens, text-only mode, and tune how stories are matched and grouped. • OPML import and export — drag a file onto the window. Your feeds are yours to take. • FreshRSS sync, per-feed settings, keyword alerts, folders with custom icons and colours, home-screen and desktop widgets. FEED ME PLUS (one-off) Alternate app icons, per-folder accent colours, premium widget themes, Mac power features and a supporter seal. Buy once, keep forever, on every platform. FEED ME AI (optional monthly) A twice-daily Daily Brief written by Claude that reads across your subscriptions and tells you what actually happened. The on-device tools above stay free forever — this is the richer, cloud-written companion. Feed Me AI is an auto-renewable monthly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel it any time in your Apple Account settings. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://slackapps.app/privacy Feed Me RSS is made for time-poor but fanatical readers: people with too many feeds and not enough hours, who still want to read the real thing.

What's New in Feed Me RSS

1.3

Feed Me is now yours to tune — and the unread badge finally works. POWER-USER CONTROLS • Sort newest or oldest first, and choose what a tap opens: the built-in reader, the in-app browser, or your default browser. • Text-only mode — skip images for a calmer read and less data. • Reader typography: line spacing, paragraph spacing and (on Mac) column width, with a one-tap reset. • Reading progress bar, mark-read-when-opened, and an optional confirmation before “Mark all read”. • Choose how often feeds refresh while the app is open — every 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or manually. • See how much space cached images use, and clear them. AI, YOUR WAY • Show or hide each of the eight on-device AI tools individually, so the reader only offers what you use. • Optionally summarise every article the moment it opens. • A matching-sensitivity slider that tunes “More like this”, “Another angle” and same-story grouping — and same-story grouping can be switched off entirely. A PROPER MAC SETTINGS WINDOW Seven panes — General, Reading, AI, iCloud & Alerts, Advanced, Upgrades and Feeds & Sync — with everything explained. FIXED • The app-icon unread badge now works. macOS silently hides Dock badges unless the app holds notification permission, and Feed Me never asked — so the count was calculated correctly and never drawn. It now asks once, when there's actually something to show. The same trap affected the iPhone badge; that's fixed too. • Sync status tells the truth: the sidebar and Settings now show a real warning if iCloud sync fails or your account is signed out, instead of always claiming “Up to date”. • Read and starred state no longer gets lost when two devices touch the same article before syncing. • If iCloud is briefly unavailable at launch, your library stays visible instead of the app opening empty.
