Concept is amazing, platform not so much…
I love the idea, in contrast to other platforms like iNaturalist (which I love) it separates the general public who only want to identify animals from serious wildlife photographers, hobbyists and scientists who want to expose their work to the world. I also like the social media vibe though it needs improvement. I think this app has a huge potential and I’d love to see it optimized one day, but unfortunately it’s not there yet.
Suggestions / critiques:
1. Adding a comments section on posts would allow Feravox to feel more like a community and people could actually get to know each other and possibly collaborate on projects.
2. It seems impossible to find my own profile unless I search for my name in the general “search” toolbar. Adding a quick access to your profile would be beneficial.
3. Can’t see the likes in my posts unless I randomly find my post while scrolling on the feed.
4. It’s also really annoying having to go to a website to upload content instead of doing it in-app. In-app uploads should be a must!
5. The portfolio display is also annoying, it would be better if each post was compiled in a single square and people can scroll through all the pictures in that same post instead of displaying all photos separately. (Think of IG format)
6. The platform is overall finicky and hard to navigate on mobile devices. Sometimes some items won’t press and you have to exit the screen you’re currently in or even close the entire app to refresh.
However, I believe these are small issues that can be improved over time and it won’t deter me from supporting this app!

Really love this app for wildlife creators/photographers and anyone else that wants to learn about wildlife. It’s unique and the facts are on point!
