Looks great. Annoying to use.
No sort on my held investments.
Daily change shows value change and % only. No custom option. I wanted fund price and %.
And this is even after you tap 3 places to get there.
Promo banner too prominent and no dismiss.
Much improvement needed Fidelity, come on.
Pretty doesn’t mean improvement.

Poor compared to others
I have used HL, II, Freetrade, Wealthify and Aviva’s investment apps. It doesn’t look like Fidelity have looked at any of these to see what works.
My main complaint is constantly having to re-enter my password despite signing up for FaceID. Once in it is hard to easily get a feel for how a stock/fund is performing (see HL for contrast). I have not had to buy or sell investments much, but again this is not intuitive or quick.
All in all this is more like a site for someone that trusts an IFA to manage their investments and might want the odd poke around.

Irritating header is too large and unsuitable
The new app is so bad I am considering using a different provider. I now have to log into the website to get easy access to my accounts. There seems to be a permanent advert for a voucher if you recommend Fidelity stuck at the top and there is nothing you can do to get rid of it.
Really poor upgrade
So many things wrong with the new update. 1) if you have any linked accounts these are now interleaved by value which makes managing them more difficult. 2) only shows the first 20 characters of funds in the summary, and only the largest 3 funds. 3) 40% of the Home Screen is now an advert can’t just dismiss it. 4) can’t see cash held in funds. It’s obvious that this update was driven by a need to be pretty, rather have a functional app. Very very poor.

Backwards step
Easy and useful
Love the app. It’s stable, easy to use, and has all the information needed readily available.
No longer useful
The latest upgrade has turned this into a marketing tool at the expense of everything that’s useful. When selecting an account, only three holdings are shown, followed by a marketing banner. To see all holdings, another tap is required, but if you’re looking for fund prices you’re out of luck - you now have to tap each holding individually to see the price. And if you want to see all of your holdings across all accounts - that option has disappeared too. Whoever designed this mess should look for a new career because you have failed in your current one! Bring back functionality and stop the marketing bombardment.

Why fix what wasn’t broken?
Bit of a shame to see the app updated and made more complicated. I’m sure it will settle down over time but the colour scheme doesn’t even match Fidelity’s website now and seems less intuitive.
Incorrect screen
Needs tweaking!
The new look screen, shows an incorrect cash amount. After hunting around the app, I do manage to find the old layout with the correct amount showing.

Ads are distracting
The new version is quicker but less usable than the old version.
Every page seems to have a distracting blue ad banner. It would be more usable if these could be dismissed. Also these banners mean that there is less useful information displayed on the screen.
The biometric login is unreliable and often asks me to enter my password.
The text is too small.
Feels like I’m better off using the web version just now.

Website occasionally malfunctions (getting stuck on cookie/settings page)
Website otherwise good
Biometric identification failure
The new App is an epic fail so far as the login is concerned. I have an iPhone 14 Pro running the latest iOS update but Face ID only works if I switch the phone off and back on. Otherwise the App always directs me to re-enter my ID and password to login. I have reported this and the
Response was entirely unsatisfactory as well.

Upgrade is awful 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
What was a functional, but ok app has now become ridiculous.
There is nothing on the base page of any use, unless you have 2 funds (and aren’t fussed by seeing the fund value and not a lot else )or less and the rest you can’t see until you start clicking and searching for information. In my mind the opening page show the highlights of all your funds but you can easily sort by various criteria. Not any more.
Fidelity are expensive for fees anyway. I stayed with Fidelity out of laziness, this has made me start to look at moving, so time to switch for me…

Missing
Hi while the app appears to be faster ….where fund summary no longer contains all the data ? And where the export function ..you used to be able to export your holding summary …. Can you alter the way the funds are listed ie alphabetical rather than by value
New version
Significant improvement relative to the older version. More practical and easier to navigate.

New Update (v3.0) Issues
Whilst it’s great that Fidelity are looking to modernise their app. This recent update has sadly focused on form over function. 😞
Some of the staggeringly poor UI choices include:
1. Half of the initial screen is taken up with an advert to “invite others”. Sure ask me once if you must, but let me dismiss it after that. (But not at all would be better - I pay for Fidelity services; stop advertising at me).
2. The summary for account types doesn’t show Cash Held. This was possible in the old app. Removing information is a terrible regression.
3. On the details for an account there are multiple poor choices:
3.1. Move the “Cash” available box to the bottom of the screen. I went to the account details to see my investment details. These should take priority.
3.2. Only listing 3 funds to start?! Why?! My phone screen is perfectly able to scroll. Just display the whole list. Don’t make me click again into another screen to see them.
3.3. Why are all of the Fund names truncated? Was this not tested on common phone sizes? The fund names could easily be shown in full, with values and percentages underneath them. But their very nature, fund names are usually very long.
Sadly the overall impression from this app update is, “did they even test this?!”
I really hope Fidelity can quickly address these issues.
I think they provide a great service; just terrible choices when it comes to the user experience for their online and app offerings.

Great investments and savings platform
Easy to use, wide choice of where to invest and with wise insights and suggestions from the Fidelity team.
Recent Update
It’s taken away key features of showing the total amount invested across multiple accounts and can no longer see the total cash you have to invest and total cash holding … only an issue if you have more than one account.
Ease of use
Most other FS products are veneer thin. Fidelity is deep. Easy to use. Broad choice of funds.
