This app drives me insane
Although this app has all the workings for a great QC and deficiency tracker in construction, it is constantly not working properly. The app refuses to update posts sometimes, drawings take way to long to load, and many other small issues that make using this app frustrating. Too often I’ve had to delete and re-download the app.

General contractors should not use this program. This really takes away from planning a project.

Why does this app keep asking for mic access?
Everytime I try to take a pic, it wants to enable the mic. I do not like that and it serves no positive function for my application. It would be my favorite app if not for that excruciatingly annoying feature
Great field-office communication tool
Fieldlens has been great for our construction company to be able to communicate in real time with our field personnel. Corporate has weekly meetings and we utilize the website portal to discuss all of our current projects. This has been a huge asset to our staff. However, it eats up a lot of storage on our devices. Needs to redo so it doesn't take so much storage.

I carry my phone instead of a bundle of drawings.
I take pictures or videos of issues (that I can mark up right then) with my phone instead of a digital camera.
I make comments about the issue right into my phone instead of a legal pad.
I pin the issue (linked with the comments and media) to the location on the specific drawing ON MY PHONE (!!!) instead of trying to communicate the location to people via a narrative in an email or meeting on site later.
I can assign the issues to other people/trades while creating the issue on my phone instead of calling/emailing/whatever.
I can track all of this ON MY PHONE instead of trying to keep up with all of this in multiple different formats, conversations, etc.
It has streamlined efficiency, improved accountability, and yielded better results overall.
Also, customer support is incredibly responsive. Huge help! Great app.

This app is superb for on site job management. We can track man power, material ordering, and site situations as well as safety deficiencies. It's a crucial tool for any contractor or sub contractors

I highly recommend FieldLens to anyone interested in effectively managing a project. As a commercial general contractor, we use Fieldlens to streamline and speed up communications between our team and our subcontractors. We all know, in real time, what is happening in the field. FieldLens also provides excellent accountability on unfinished tasks. That's a big plus! It's easy to use even for those technologically-challenged employees and the FieldLens team provides unparalleled customer service! Outstanding project management tool
This tool has help me from day one organize and collaborate on tasks that need pictures and markups on prints that are easy to use even by all of our non-techie construction folks, this works for everybody. The reporting and analytics are super easy to use. The support staff have been very helpful and easy to work with, can't say enough about them! Highly recommend

FieldLens is an incredibly powerful Project Management tool supported by an eager, talented team.
Our company made FieldLens a compulsory management system at the beginning of the year and it has proved to be invaluable.
We are a medium sized low voltage installation company and even though we have only been using it company wide for a month, we have seen dramatic improvements in how we communicate, manage projects (large and small), monitor onsite issues, evaluate overall performance and generate reports supporting final invoicing.
I have started using the Drawings tool and it is amazing. I can mark up my floor plans, assign each item as a task and our technicians resolve each task as they go, so we can all keep track of each project in real time!

Must have app for Superintendents
If your a Super, Project Manager, GC this is a must have app and service. For a very fair price FieldLens will manage all your quality control needs. I have used the big softwares that Autodesk and Latista have on the market. Although they are very good, FieldLens has simplified what they do and make it more attractive for my Foreman and Clients. FieldLens is very easy to learn and set up. There was hardly any front end set up. I had my project online within a few hours and all my foreman signed on within a day. The BEST feature about the whole product is their customer support. Every time I have had a question it has been answered in minutes. Literally. There is no ticket submission or emails to send. It's a quick instant message right from the app to a person at FieldLens. It's better than text messaging. And the people on the other end are construction guys. They understand the industry and have experience with the day to day struggles in the field on a construction site. I can't believe how reliable the app and the support has been since I joined. If you run work and don't have FieldLens you are behind schedule already. There is no easier way to track manpower, deliveries, Quality Issues, Daily Reporting and Punch List. I'm looking forward to starting my next job with FieldLens from the beginning. I think if I were to invent an app like this it would be exactly what FieldLens already is.

Efficiency and Productivity
Great app for the day to day person who is both in the field and in the office.
Easy to create observations and items while in the field, and then create custom daily reports for the team when you're back in the trailer.
There have been opportunities for improvement over the last few years and FieldLens has done a great job with listening to suggestions to make the app better. They eagerly welcome feedback and express great enthusiasm to continually make the app better.

Got afternoons back
Wow, got my afternoon/evening back. Before this app I would pull into Panera’s crank open the Mac transfer work pics from phone, put into Pages, with all the arrows, and circles to identify all the problems that happened during the day. Then mail out as a PDF to all those needing the info. Of course multiple cups of coffee were consumed at 5:00 pm, which was all wrong, This App maps your job site, automatically puts the pics in the job folder, along with any tasks, documentation attachments, assigns responsibilities and or duties, from the job site from my Iphone. Then at the end of the day creates a daily report that encompasses all the activities that took place on that particular job, and emails it out to whomever you decide to put on the thread. Basically everything is done from the my phone. So now I am able to have a couple of Black & Tans. Instead of just black coffee.

Really useful app that allows us to manage all our projects from our smart phones (big plus is adding photos of job sites). Helped cut down on the back and forth via email and text from everyone, which has been getting out of hand. Keep the updates coming please!
Fresh air in construction communication..!
Pilgrim Interiors growth is based on using technology in our metal framing and drywall field. When one of my employees pointed out FieldLens in November 2014 we jumped right in. Since then we have grown along with the FieldLens app. As a subcontractor running multiple projects at once, it has allow our team to stay in touch. It's like a Facebook page for every project. Now with the new drawing expansion we have guys pushing aside the paper drawings and using FieldLens app to do layout..! The future in construction communication is here.

Someone was reading my mind! You simply must read this whole review because if your on the fence about this app and service, I was in your shoes and you will NOT BE disappointed. If you choose to be more efficient, present your company in a more professional manner, save oodles of time and make reporting not only easy as anything but actually fun, then stop looking.
As small business owner, in the past there have been struggles with aspects of running my company not the least of which is reporting on the work I have in progress. Keeping track of my projects, suppliers and labor has been a challenge in an ongoing effort to maximize profit while boosting efficiency and company perception in my line of work. This of course is easier said than done.
One day, literally out of sheer frustration, I was perusing the App Store for some sort of Holy Grail of Construction field reporting. I stumbled upon FieldLens and let me tell you…Im never looking back. If this is the start, I can’t wait to see what comes next!
First, the app was free for use and trial but limited in full features as I would expect for what immediately stood out as a very comprehensive, intuitive construction management program. This afforded me the time to get familiar with the application and the increased functionality that I would receive if I chose one of the paid plans.
Immediately, I had some questions. Once I created an account, I logged into their website which gave me access to the web app companion and customer support. I choose the live chat.
In under a minute, somebody replied to my inquiry, answered my questions and stayed on the chat for the better part of 15 minutes. All for my free account. I did this 2-3 more times and not once did anyone suggest or try to push the paid plans on me. I made that decision myself after a few days of use because it was painfully obvious that this was exactly what I needed and lacked.
This app is easy to use, the companion web app just as so. It has brought a level of efficiency, professionalism and Time saving I so desperately needed. My clients are floored by the reports they receive, My contractors don't know what to think based on past experiences with me and my suppliers are now held to a standard that will be the benchmark now and in the future. All accomplished with an application and a phone and my finger.
Now you maybe thinking this is all too good to be true and it could be if you chose not to work it. It doesn't do the job for you, You still have to input the information, visit your jobsites, maintain a steady information flow and finally submit it in a cohesive, fluid, variable reporting System that actually does it for you. In other words, you have to do the work of putting in the information and the system does the rest. The reports are professional with your company logo on the cover, evenly laid out and easy to follow. Extremely good showing to your client.
The web application is the same yet different in that there are some things only accessible via a PC but again, so incredibly easy to use and manipulate information and keep track of just about anything you could possibly think of pertaining to your projects/work. This all starts with getting off your rear end and compiling the information.
Prior to Field lens, I would visit my job sites, take numerous photos, write everything down on a yellow pad, come back to the office and start the reporting process. This consisted of: a word processing program, drag-and-drop photos into placeholders, wasting time with word-wrap configurations, adding text boxes… You get the picture. Spreadsheets will always be part of the business world but if you could possibly put your hands on a product that saves you time, makes you money, Reduces your stress and workload all while holding individuals accountable to designated tasks and giving them the means for which to be more efficient, then what the hell are you waiting for?! Every now and then, someone just gets it right and this is one of them!
