New clinical content, reviewed against UK guidelines. • Tranexamic acid (TXA) and lidocaine added — each with pre-administration checklists, and local-anaesthetic systemic toxicity (LAST) management for lidocaine. • New reference for adrenal crisis / Addison's, with expanded hydrocortisone guidance and a new side-effects section on medication cards. • Head-injury reference updated with the Canadian CT Head Rule to support evacuation and imaging decisions. • Cervical-collar guidance revised in line with current remote-practice evidence (manual in-line stabilisation first). • Anti-sickness medications consolidated into a single, clearer tab. Content now spans 129 conditions, 44 medications and 94 kit items. Various refinements and fixes throughout. All clinical content is referenced to UK guidelines (BNF, NICE, JRCALC, WMS, RCUK). FieldMedic is a reference tool to support decision-making by trained practitioners — always verify against your local protocols. Introducing Beacon — an optional connected layer with end-to-end-encrypted cloud backup, whole-team sync, and a desktop Records Portal. Off by default; your encryption key never leaves your device.

FieldMedic includes 128 conditions across First Aid, Trauma, Emergencies, Environmental, Tropical, and Specialist Areas. Each condition provides structured symptoms, step-by-step management, medications, and evacuation criteria.
The symptom checker allows you to select a primary complaint and guides you through a focused sequence. It scores conditions across 27 clinical pathways and adapts results to context like altitude and tropical conditions.
Yes, the Smart Kit List feature recommends items based on your chosen terrain (e.g., high altitude, tropical, desert). It maps items to conditions they treat, helping you identify critical gaps before departure.
FieldMedic allows for one file per person, similar to real medical records. You can create files with history, allergies, medications, and emergency contacts, then add incidents, vitals, treatment notes, and evacuation details.
No, FieldMedic is designed as 'offline first.' All content is stored on the device, and features like team synchronization can occur directly between iPhones without internet or servers.
The latest version is 1.7, last updated on June 3, 2026. Updates typically occur to incorporate the latest clinical standards and expand content.
FieldMedic has an age rating of 17+, indicating it is intended for mature users due to its medical content.
No, FieldMedic does not contain advertisements. It is a free application with no ads to disrupt the user experience.
